This is an update on the girl that was raped by her Father....

The man was arrested, the Landlord's association invited her Mom, she came and took the kids, packed their belongings, they gave her 300k to rent a house for the kids somewhere else, the remaining of the man's property was packed to their office, them shaa beat the man wella before handing him over to the police.... that's da update... Una tankiuuuu

We forget that the light doesn't have to always come from outside. Sometimes, this light could surely come from within us. It's true we don't look like what we've been through; or better still, we choose to laugh even in the midst of uncertainties.


This year is stylishly ending and you are still scared to achieve your plans.

My brother apply for that visa ... that visa for that your dream country... apply for that job. my sister ask out that guy you are crushing on ..... Date that person(no be person husband and not my wife oo)

 Buy that plane ticket. move to that city. do all the things that scare you, because they're worth it..

URGENT QUESTION

Bvs I have a very urgent question. My cousin's wedding is next week. This my cousin doesn't communicate except when we travel to the village and meet each other in the village. We will exchange pleasantries like that till next year Christmas. Okay she is older with about 7 years. 

She calls me Junior sister, but she doesn't call my number. I don't call her too. To avoid unnecessary poke nosing et al. She doesn't know how I dey take survive. She doesn't even know which state I stay in now. She doesn't know if I have graduated , served, working or not working, . We have zero online communication .Lol She just assumed I'm in Lagos. 

Last month she invited to a group which I declined because I don't have strength for trivial group chat, I didn't know it was her asoebi group, so she chatted me up, I didn't have number but I knew it was her from her DP, she asked why I rejected her asoebi group invite, I explained that I didn't know it was her asoebi group.

 She said OK. She pressured me to join tho, that she will like her sister to be in her bridal train. I calculated the expenses in my brain, I humbly declined. She said OK no problem. She said she will like me to attend the wedding. I said it will be difficult cos I don't have transport fare. 

Her wedding is the village, and cost of travelling down to the east is too much, and I have work which they may employ another person to replace me if I take more than two days leave cos it's a very vital position. She said I can join my uncle or brother (they are all in Lagos) cos she doesn't know I'm in another state working. I said ok, if they travel with their car I will join. The thing is I can't take the risk. 

I don't even have the money to cover my travel expenses plus other preparations. I'm still a student just doing this work to gather school fees. I don't even have a dress. So I will buy a dress to attend the wedding, if I should attend. I will do my hair. Lol but I'm 95% sure I won't attend. If my brother attends , I know he will represent the two of us. 

my question now is should I ask for her account number and send her like 5k or 10k. Or should I mind my business before they will think I now have money. You know how "village people" can begin research on your matter.





*If you send money, they will question your intent cos you said you dont have money.... My dear just message her and say that you have not been paid and cannot afford the trip or to buy what to wear for the wedding.....You cant do more than yourself.

  ADVICE from a Supreme Court JUDGE who handled Family Dispute Courts:


1. Don't encourage your son and his wife to stay under same roof with you.
Best to suggest them to move out, even to the extent of renting a house.
It's their problem to find a separate home.
More the distance between you and your children's families, the better is the relationship with your in laws.

2. Treat your son's wife as his wife, not as your own daughter, maybe just treat her as a friend. Your son would always be your Junior but, if you think that his wife is of the same rank and if you ever scolded her, she would remember it for life.
In real life, only her own mother and not you will be viewed as a person qualified to scold or correct her.



3. Whatever habits or characters your son's wife has is not your problem at all, it is your son's problem.
It isn't your problem as he is an adult already.

4. Even when living together, make each others businesses clear, don't do their laundry, don't cook for them and don't baby sit their children.
Unless, of course, there is a special request by your son's wife and you feel that you're capable and don't expect anything in return.
Most importantly, you shouldn't worry about your son's family problems.
Let them settle themselves.




5. Pretend to be blind and deaf when your son and his wife are quarrelling. It's normal that the young couple do not like their parents to be involved in the dispute between husband and wife.



6. Your grandchildren totally belong to your son and his wife.
However they want to raise their children, it is up to them.
The credit or blame would be on them.




7. Your son's wife need not necessarily respect and serve you.
It is the son's duty.
You should have taught your son to be a better person so that you and your son's wife relationship could be better.




8. Do more planning for your own retirement, don't rely on your children to take care of your retirement.
You had already walked through most of your journey in life, there are still a lot of new things to learn through out the journey.



9. It is your own interest that you enjoy your retirement years.
Better if you could utilize and enjoy everything that you had saved before you die.
Don't let your wealth become worthless to you.


10. Grandchildren don't belong to your family, they're their parents precious gift.
