THURSDAY IN HOUSE NEWS

Hailings.... Friday is just around the corner!

NEIGHBOURHOOD AMEBO

How una dey my people? See today matter eehhh, e get as e be....

E get one woman for my area, let's call her deputy Jesus, this woman has serious issues with minding her business, infact she can go as far as going in front of the mosque to preach, telling the Muslim's that they will not make heaven, if she catch with trouser, you are in hell already, earing, necklace or anything like it is a sin, bum-short, you be lucifer pikin, we all know her, she lives alone, she is a Jesus chosen.

I don't know if she has kids or if she was ever married, but some bigger people in this aproko business has been saying that this woman is sleeping around and she's been seen in some odd places once or thrice, I no fit believe because this woman is a heavenly candidate, she does night vigils almost every night, does morning crier every morning, it can't be her, besides she should be in her early 50's.

Well, they said that last week, one of the men she's dating, the wife caught them at a guest house, beat her black and blue, she ran, but just yesterday, the man decided to take her to hospital for treatment, the wife caught them again, the man ran, Hanty could not run, madam pounced on her, used something and broke her bone, they carried her back home with tear-tear clothes, the landlady said that some group of people came looking for her with police, saying that she duped one woman at Warehouse along Ijesha express, I come tire (Indeed pretenders sure do the worse)

We woke up to the news this morning that she packed out in the middle of the night and she's owing her landlady ooo for a year and six months.... the life no balance abeg.... una byeeeee

Nah wah...Some people when carry Church for head na dem do pass..

PINKYS CORNER

"Same Item different Value at different Places"

The same fanta we buy at the provision shop for #100. The bottle  is sold for #200 Naira at some hotel, the same is sold at the airport for #300 and at some hotel is #500 here in Ibadan.

Same bottle, same brand; the only thing that changes is the place. Each place gives a different value to the same item. When you feel worthless, change places, don't stay there.Have the courage to change your circle of influence and go to a place that sees your value.Surround yourself with people who appreciate your worth.

Everybody cannot make it in lagos and also not all will make it when given the opportunity to travel out of this country that is why you see an Okada rider in Ekiti State or Oyo State getting married at the right time and becoming a landlord easily than some bank cashiers because it the saying (Owo eko, eko lo ngbe) has come to play in their life why because so many things at the same time will come to an existence in order to take away that salary you thought it's a huge amount to you.(e.g rent, transportation, feeding, family wahala e.t.c), all these at the high side.

It is time for some of us and not all to sit down and think well to know if our present place has a positive effect on us and if not then it's time to take necessary actions.

I humbly submit.

NAZIRITE's INK
MUST READ

Mr and Mrs Dele Taiwo are our newest member, they are below average couple when it comes to finances but they were very loyal. Two months after they started attending our service, the wife reached out to me and said she'd like her second son to leave with us. She mentioned he will be of great assistance when it comes to errand since our daughter is still small. I couldn't say yes at an instant, I had to consult my husband and even pray.

I had in time past taken in a distance relative and they can be a handful but I was determined to impress the church as the good wife of the Pastor, after all, the entire congregation look up to us and we are expected to practice what we preach.

I had completely forgotten about the issue until after two nights. I had to discuss with my husband. He reluctantly agreed and told me to never complained if things go sour, he also reminded me that anyone who has a girl child must not take in any boy. I countered his theory by saying that the boy in question is barely 10. My husband didn't have any choice than to leave me with my decision, in his words, "You are usually the one at home, deal with it".

That night, I slept differently, God will reward me greatly if I accepted this boy, the church will see me as a worthy example too. No heaven is greater than this, I imagined.

The next morning, I put a call through to Mrs Taiwo and told her it was okay to bring the boy over when its weekend. She was so excited and prayed for me, she further confide in me that feeding her kids is sometimes a problem and having him staying with us will ease her and her husband's burden, beside, he would learn more godly behavior being around us.

The following weekend, Mrs Dele Taiwo brought Jaye his son to permanently lived with us, and his staying with me was the most difficult time of my life. He would steal from the pot, he would steal from the purse, he was a torn in the flesh. He was also a terrible liar. Despite the fact that I was good with cane, it became difficult to beat him because of what the neighbors would say.

In church, he would behave like a decent boy in other to create a false image for his parents, I on the other hand was careful to not expose him, it would put his parents in bad light and make me seem like an incompetent woman.

At home, he would never wash his clothes, he goes from home to school and would never gets to school, he played truancy. It dawned on me the parents knew about his horrible behavior all along and saw my family as a dumping site or probably a safe haven, or maybe perhaps, they thought we could change him or he would change since we were Pastors.

On a fateful day, I was in the room taking a nap when I heard sounds in the backyard, I looked through the window and saw Jaye trying to climb the fence, apparently he was playing with the neighbors kids, I warned him to leave the area because I was trying to get some sleep, I also threatened that I would cane him if I have to warn him again. He pretended to obey and left. Few minutes later, I was woken by the sound of his laughter, I warned him again, this time more sternly.

I couldn't hear any sound anymore so I figured he left, I was just 10minutes into my sleep when I heard a loud crash, immediately, I jumped out of the bed, my daughter who had been sleeping beside me also woke, I quickly tied my wrapper and made for the door, before I could reached there, I heard a thin weak voice asking for help, my heart jumped out through my mouth, that's Jaye's voice, I am in trouble! By the time I got there, he was in the pool of his own blood, clearly, he tried to climb the fence into the other compound, somehow he missed his step and fell. He had a broken skull, and his stomach had been pierced with the wooden stick I had up against the reptilian vegetable.. There was blood everywhere.

I didn't know where the strength came from, I picked him up, rushed into the garage, opened the car, put him in, picked my daughter, and drove straight to the hospital. It was until he was admitted that I remembered I hadn't call my husband, who in turned called his parents and brought them to the hospital. He was wheeled into the theatre and surgery was performed, thankfully, it was a success.

That was the last of it, that broke the camel's back. My husband insisted he must return with his parents upon his discharge from the hospital, less he puts us in trouble, In his words, "I don't want my good deeds to turn bad, what if he had died, what if the worst has happened"..

My husband could lose his job and we could kiss the system goodbye. I thought about all of this and I could only thank my God that Jaye survived. His parents couldn't say much since Pastor insisted.

That single incident left me in stitches, some months after the incident, his parents left the church, till date, I keep wondering why, we never told anyone what happened with him, guess they were ashamed or maybe worse...

3 years after, one day, I was in the market when someone tapped me from behind, guess who it was? Mrs Dele Taiwo, Jaye's mother, I was so excited to see her, its been ages, we exchanged pleasantries, I could see she was happy to see me too, I asked after he husband, her business and her kids, then I proceeded to ask her about Jaye, her countenance fell, as she gives me the lest expected revelation, " Ah! Jaye died last year September, he was missing from home for a whole week and the third week, when we saw him, it was his dead body in the gutter, with every of his vital organs removed. what??!!?!

My heart was shattered, I was terrified, Where? When? How?? I almost fell down from shock. I had so many questions but I was in a tight place, she had to hug me to prevent me from falling, I didn't know when I burst into hot tears. She hugged me never to worry, that although she's yet to recover, it is in the will of God.

My bike man was waiting, I quickly collected her number with the promise to call her sometimes to know where her family now resides.

On getting home, I told my husband, he was as shocked as i am too but a little indifferent. In his words, "A stubborn child is destined for destruction". Hmm..

I couldn't stop thinking, . I wept uncontrollably.. He could have been 13years now. I didn't want to forgive myself, numerous maybes ran across my mind, but some of the greatest of them all;

-Maybe he would be alive if I hadn't given up on him?

-Maybe he would have changed to become a good boy if he was with me till now?

-Maybe if they didn't leave the church, God will still have protected him.

-Maybe he was an Abiku going by the full meaning of his name, Hmm, RIP DUROJAYE that did not wait to enjoy.

What a sad story...
Please dont blame yourself at all....

TEEJAYS CORNER

I some stuff online and a post by John C Maxwell struck a cord in my heart. It reads; "When you intentionally use your everyday life to bring about positive change in the lives of others, you begin to live a life that matters."―

I  pondered on those words and said a short prayer silently. I thanked God for his blessings upon my life and begged for Forgiveness for the many times I misused a given opportunity I would have used to impact and touch a life positively."

Life to some could be a nightmare and all they may ever need to be happy or keep going in life could just be a little push.

Some time last week, I was about going for lunch when a young man approached me. Looking closely at his countenance, I thought he had come to ask for money but all he needed was food to eat .He insisted he didnt want money but food...

We both went together where I usually have my lunch and when we were done eating, I asked him a few questions about, his people and all that. I gave him some little money and my number.

Before he left, I told him whenever he has nothing to eat, he should come to the place and get a meal on me. He was so thankful and left. I told the woman that owns the eatery to give him food on my account whenever he comes and also let her workers know as well.
I was informed he has visited the eatery twice to eat and I felt knowing i could help a little and hope to do more

It takes so little to put a smile on the face of people.
John Bunyan said - "You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you."

Nice one...I pray you do a giveaway here someday soon, no matter how small....
God bless!

It's very wrong to call someone dear especially someone you're not familiar with.

  6. If you are outside the country, once in a while send people living in Nigeria money. It is not easy. We are not living down here. We are surviving.

You go to bed at night, wake up in the morning having in mind that things won't remain as you left them. Keke you paid 50 for yesterday can turn 100 the next morning and there is nothing you will do about it. Iwe wee gα»‹ ọ kara gα»‹ njọ. Petrol you bought 165 can turn 250 the next morning. Cooking gas can turn from 500 to 550 to 600 in a single week.

To some in this country, the ambition is to eat a good meal daily. Ọ kwa onye dα»‹ ndα»₯ na eme investment.

If you know anyone, keep sending them money. 10,000 can only buy one painter of rice, one painter of beans, one bottle of groundnut oil, one bottle of red oil and 2 liters of kerosene. Ego agwukwala be that. How many days can it last a family of 3?

  10. Nna ehn, Nigeria still has a long way to go sha. I didn’t know that when money is fraudulently withdrawn from your account here, all you have to do is report to ur bank and you will get ur money back. Apparently, the money in ur account is actually insured. This happened to me recently and after about 3 weeks after reporting, I got my full money back.

I remember when something similar happened to me in Nigeria and I went to report to UBA, the recipient’s bank, it’s only by God’s grace they didn’t use broom to pursue me from their office then when I went to report to my bank, Access bank, Nko? Those ones kept playing on my intelligence until I got tired.

I didn’t even have to go to their office to write any statement, just called from the comfort of my home and I finally have my money back.

Nigeria, one day una go sha sabi

  14. Exam is around the corner, yet nothing to show for it. I've never seen this kind of disappointment. My friend keeps telling me "*******" pls read your books, you're my friend and I don't want you to fail. How does he expect me to read and understand when I can't even concentrate?, I'm disorganized. He has bought all his textbooks whilst I on the other hand, has not even paid for any of them. And you know how Nigerian school system works; if you don't buy their textbooks, you're likely to fail.
If I decide to go stand on the road now, people will still condemn me, yet no one is ready to help. I've finished learning my fashion and designing, now my problem is money to buy machine not to talk of opening my own fashion house. My mum (God bless her for me) has really tried her best, I don't expect her to do more. It's only when you're on the news for a wrong thing, that people would ask why you never came to them for help Lol. Now no one admits to having money, not even my late dad's family. I just want to give up. I'm having sleepless nights as to how to go about my exams and textbooks and even transport fare to school. I've no one to talk to, the internet has always been my companion and I'm happy that I've poured out my heart. God is my strength.

Do not wait for the "pastor or teacher" to bring your kids up for you. This is the first responsibility that the Lord has given to you.
And please, do not go to the devil in mediums to get a child.
Such kids are a lifetime of troubles.
    So sad a read. 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

Stella, definitely I will do that once I'm done with the project I'm currently executing. The blog gave me a push, so I'm gonna reciprocate that kind gesture. I've that in mind and honestly I do.

    Good Afternoon guys....

If u can help an outsider(if ur stories are true) what stops u from doing giveaway for the very blog dat helped shaped ur life. You keep coming with excuses whenever Stella reminds u to give back. I put it to u that u are fake and my guts never lie. Time will surely tell. Stella please approve thanks.

    7. I don't need to do a giveaway here to prove a thing to you. If I choose to do, it's on my own free will and not to please anyone here or prove a point. What you read here is little of what I do so I don't care what you think or believe about it. You can choose to hate my stories and I don't care. After all, you guys only loves to read people's sub stories here and to mock them. So your opinion got nothing on me. Keep hating and when I am ready to bless people here, the same you will still find a fault in it.

Ezege, is never pressured to do things. I do things on my own time and conviction.

      Thanks Buxomebony....

When I saw MC pinky's first paragraph and scrolled to the end of the writeup and didn't see copied, I was gobsmacked. Why take even a sentence of someone's work without acknowledging it? It's wrong on all sides and to think I'm seeing his comment denying it, is sad.

Nazarite, I know of a Pastor's wife whose nature is to have very few friends. But because her husband is liked by many and has many people wanting to visit him, she allowed their numerous visits and tolerated many of their excesses like when some of them visit without informing them prior to the visit. One night, she dreamt that one of the ladies that's quite close to the husband was trying to kill her. That was after she had been warned to be careful o keeping many friends. Since she had that dream, she lock up o. Visitations have been reduced to the barest minimum. According to her, she cannot comman go and die because she's trying to please their church members.
