ReplyDeleteI think Big brother has gotten to the diminishing returns stage. I don’t see housemates reaping the amount of benefits they expect. I remember how they go crazy with gifts each year but this year is so different. Even those with many fans are not getting gifts. It doesn’t even look like big companies are interested in making them ambassadors. The engagements are really low. This time last year Laycon had 500k Twitter followers white doesn’t even have up to 50k Twitter followers right now. Even instagram followers have been growing really slow considering that we have two weeks to end the show. Big brother did not try for them this year at all. Very poor publicity. They lacked an attractive concept and the housemates are suffering for it .These guys might have to work 4 times harder than the lockdown set to get there.

Last yr seems to be over shadowing this year
Last year gained so much interest from the public after Erica's outbursts against Laycon and her subsequent disqualification.
DeleteAlso what worked for last year was the lockdown. A lot of people were working from home, people lost their jobs. So people had enough free time. Unlike now that things are going back to normal. If there was no lock down last year, big brother would still have been quite boring sha.
DeleteLast year gained so much interest cause there was covid lock down. Even people that initially weren't watching the show had to start watching out of boredom. People were stuck at home. As for Twitter followers , remember there was not Twitter ban last year.

DeleteBut that aside, I think viewers have become wiser or maybe the economy has dealt a heavy blow on pockets. I was in a group last year for Erica and we were asked to contribute 10k each. I didn’t contribute because I didn’t have money to waste so they chased me away but I made friends that contributed. This year they are all Liquorose’s fans but shi shi they did not drop. They said the group admins are no longer even taking about buying cars that they are just begging people for money so they can raise 1million for her but people are not turning up.

DeleteOne of the brain behind the show passed on! His name is Martin he is the COO of multi choice! This season is just different ! He died in August ! He worked so hard to put this show together. It’s taking a whole lot of effort to even continue without him. This season is the worst ever.

This years own is super boring period. Some furnitures like Emma and yousef needs to come and be going. Sleepskay needs to join his boyfriend outside. Infact for the first time I want them to even keep them and evict everyone on the last day as it's becoming too boring with too many evictions.
