Major Abducted By Alleged Bandits From NDA Found Dead.

A senior Army officer, Major Christopher Datong, who was abducted by alleged bandits during an attack on Tuesday August 24,2021 at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna has been found dead.

The major was kidnapped when the bandits penetrated the NDA in a brazen attack that left two other military officers dead. The remains of the deceased officer was discovered yesterday evening, a few hours after he was abducted by the bandits.

Reports indicate that the bandits allegedly demanded the sum of N200m to free him. However, it remains unclear why he was swiftly executed.

The deceased Major was 43 years old and was from Plateau State.

    2. This is so sad and the highest breach of security...I heard their fence was broken and that was how some gained entrance in the Academy...Now I don't if the fence has been broken before now or the criminals broke it...Again I heard that the CCTV guys were found sleeping...If this people could do this in an institution where we train our soldiers and other military outfits, it shows the whole country is not safe.

May his soul rest in peace Amen..

    3. How can the president comment when he has been very busy planning a very big society wedding.

    4. Meanwhile this same president gave ultimatum for the killers out those Fulani/Muslim travellers to be to fished out under 58 hours and the orders carried out successfully because the killers are supposed Christian who retaliated the killings of the Christian's killed. God will judge this man and he will rot in hell.

I'm not justifying killings, but if you support any form of wickedness, may your generations taste your evil

  4. I feel so pained and heartbroken that perpetrators of this act will be pardoned tomorrow and reintegrated into the society. Where then is the wrath of the law? Where's justice? Peaceful agitators have been in detention over three years but these ones are being given presidential accolades.

    Nigeria is accursed.

Christians in the north are the most marginalized and oppressed group in Nigeria and instead of praying for the Christian brethren in the North, you lump them up with the Muslims and blame them for supporting and nurturing terrorists in the North.

  16. This is an UNFORTUNATE news, not good for hearing and not good for breakfast digest. If an institution like Nigeria Defense Academy (NDA) is invaded, attacked and the attackers succeeded in this embarrassingly manner, then, i can confidently say Nigeria is not save and therefore, all the newly promoted Chief of staff should kindly resign as no need for anyone to tell them if they were really a professional.

Even if there is going to be an investigation, the Defense Minister, NDA commander, all newly promoted service Chiefs should kindly resign forth-with. All guards must be arrested and prosecuted, then investigation must be seriously and rigorously commence with the support of Police, DSS and all National security outfit to ensure the assailants, no matter who they may be must be brought to book. This is uncalled for, a National disaster.

We are in a state of emergency, Nigeria is doomed and we are not SAVE, if NDA and all attacked police formations in the country are attacked uncontrollably, i use this medium to plead with the police hierarchy to kindly boost the security of Police Academy (POLAC) in Kano, then. the Military should please come back as all those calling themselves politician have FAILED woefully, therefore, they should go HOME and rest while the Military's should please come back to sanitize the country with a view for the citizens to be able to sleep with their two eyes closed, they paid TAXES and from that taxes payment all those service chiefs, police and all are being paid with the citizens tax paying money and they have DISAPPOINTED the same people, lost of lives gone in the hands of the bandits, no matter the compensation, such innocent souls cannot be returned while the hungry families too lined up to collect such compensation and sometime, some shameless families fighting themselves because of the illegal payment for the soul of their family members. It is a SHAME and the Nigerians sometimes are SHAMELESS, greedy and easy to be confused for the sake of 5k.

  18. Insider's job!
If you believe that bandits now go inside the defense training headquarters and abduct and kill
a senior officer, you will also believe that Buhari is from Imo state!
I hardly can draw a line between the army and boko bandits these days.

  19. Everyone had better start carrying guns, anything we can think of for self protection and defense.
Now we see the mitary we are protecting can not even protect themselves on their own ground.( Though I don't believe the bandit story they are reporting. The military should look in house and get the culprits

  27. Gumi gave us a priceless Intelligence, which DSS could not unearth
That the bandits are collecting ransoms to buy arms, for a bigger war
But, what did we do with the information - nothing
Now, we are beginning to see the effects
Imagine the audacity of the bandits in attacking NDA
And they shot down a fighter jet the other day
The bandits are becoming bolder by the day
In a report yesterday, villagers said up to 300 bandits invaded their villages
Even considering some exaggeration from anxiety their presence created, 200 well-armed bandits can do a lot of damage
It appears the whole of NW is now swarming with bandits
And it appears Zamfara has already fallen to the bandits, considering the ease with which the bandits abduct people there
    Katsina would probably be next
I saw a headline that the Katsina lawmakers were weeping in plenary because of the insecurity in the state
At least 2 Army Generals have been killed by the bandits after being abducted
If all these humiliation of the military is not enough to cause them enough anger to crush the bandits, then we have a big problem
I have long given my own advice on how to end the insurgency
Our leaders think everything is fine
    Time will tell
    May God help us

  31. May God rest soul his soul and comfort his family. They must have been informed by an insider on the security of that particular barracks. Although the gates are heavily guarded, but once you enter, you would see that the place is usually very quiet and lonely. The only lively place there is the school premises where the cadets and admin activities take place. The people at the KAWO barracks should better watch out and beef up their security now. Because that particular barracks is more porous even though still heavily guarded.

Tomorrow, the ones that killed him will come out and apologize and they'll be pardoned. Yimu

  33. personalities. The management of the military school should take responsibility and resign. Opening military institutions for the general Moslem public every Friday may have given the terrorists the opportunity to spy on the school. Of course they must have gotten help from insiders

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No please. They don't allow Muslims from outside to worship there on Fridays same with the Christians. You can't even enter there on a normal day if it isn't on official duties. Even if you work there, they must check you in every single day. Because that's where the regular cadets and most high ranking officers stay. Unlike the barracks located at Kawo. But even at that, they will still check you in at all the Kawo barracks gates. So gaining access into the premises is very very difficult to be honest. It must have been an inside job. Too bad their next target might be the WAR college located at Jaji. And then we are finally doomed.
