Yes. She is known by that name. No point changing her name. She. Worked for the name.
ReplyDeleteIt's well with them
ReplyDeleteJust like that! 27 years down the drain. What could have been the problem?
ReplyDeleteNo they have three lovely children together. So nothing lost. Life goes on.
DeleteLife goes on jare
ReplyDeleteI love Miranda 😚😚
She's a strong woman
She is not proud of her own name.
ReplyDeleteI really admire her courage in walking out of 27years old marriage.
Some men thinks that like-l have married you, we are now passed the stage of going back, so l am free to think or act the way l want.
Men, be careful of how you treat a good woman cause her elastic band can overstretche at anytime.
I am of the opinion of discarding the man's name. You can still make your name like Jeff Bezos wife is doing.
But it's her name as well. And she worked and contributed to Gates name/brand. Something you've owned and used for 27yrs is rightfully yours abeg. That's why Kris Jenner didn't change hers as well. It's now her name..
DeleteI some of what you wrote Amarachi With C, but I think that her decision has nothing to do with not being proud of her name.
DeleteShe obviously worked hard for the Gate brand, inconjunction with Bill.
She has earned it.
It is within her right to continue using or revating to her maiden name.
Only both of them know what went wrong, I wish them the best.
ReplyDeleteKeeping or discarding the name doesn't really matter, she knows what's best for her.
Hmmm... filed a petition in May, finally divorced in August. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it takes 2 years for a divorce to be finalised?
ReplyDeleteCuriouser and curioser 🤔
That's Nigeria. The culture hates divorce, the law deliberately makes it hard. America, within one month sef, if no better assets or children. Laws vary by countries.
DeleteI was wondering myself, in Nigeria divorce could drag for years.
DeleteMine took 4 months (USA)
DeleteAnd these divorce lawyers will be praying for more cases like this to be smiling to the bank in the name of settlement
ReplyDeleteHmmmm I wonder why the divorce?🤔

ReplyDeleteI like how they handled this with a lot of respect and maturity. No throwing of tantrums and too much social media talk. Wish our people can learn this one.
ReplyDeleteToo rich for tantrums mehn. Fight is for the poor...
DeleteSame sentiment too.
DeleteI respect their maturity.
