ReplyDeleteI wish DNA tests could be made mandatory a few months after birth, and affordable for all.
ReplyDeleteThe rate of paternity fraud in this part of the world is alarming. It brings us back to the debate that says; women are better cheat than men.
If every man decide to carry out DNA tests on every of his child(ren), then a lot of things will be bare.
Dear men, for now, just claim and accepts the kid(s) as yours with faith pending when you can afford a DNA test.
They are terrible women. One can't explain their character but, i blame men that deny women when they need them.

Same thing happened to my older brother. It took them quite a long while to conceive both kids and it was so glaring to all that thw kids werent his. My brother quarrelled with anyone who mentioned that there wasnt any resemblance. Long story he secretly did a DNA test and boom! THEY WERENT HIS! May God save us
ReplyDeleteThat's just sad! But for your brother to quarrel with those who insinuated that there wasn't any resemblance it suggests to me that he preferred to live in denial until it was confirmed through DNA. May be your brother knew he had a problem, but he was just hoping by chance.
DeleteYour brother's wife shouldn't have tried to cover up for him. She should asked your brother to both her and her husband to go for test, but she didn't.
Sadly some men with fertility issues foolishly will not go for tests to identify the problem
DeleteSo there are still men that don't or haven't carried out DNA test on their kids? If it will take you a year to gather the money, pls do to avoid stories that touch in old age. DNA is now a necessity , it's no longer an option.

Many things at play here. When there is no stigma associated with being a single mother no one will feel compelled to put a pregnancy on someone else. When ppl stop cheating there will be no reason to do the unthinkable.

Anyways, this is a complex issue if not handled carefully, because the children could be stigmatized, and the mother would lose face in her children's eyes if the issue is publicized and ppl say things when they are angry. On top of it the relationship between the siblings could harmed. If they insist on meeting their true father later down the road it could cause disruptions in his marriage and life. So many innocent lives get affected. Too much to deal with if things are not handled with care and approached well.
Please, when the inspiration comes to do that which is wrong think long and hard about all possible outcomes because you may have to deal with them, and maybe even some you didn't think of. The price is so much higher to pay now than if honesty had been used. Never underestimate the power of honesty and truthfulness to set you free.
