It means he didn't have any contractual obligations to any club and was a free agent when they signed him..so they won't have to pay any club to sign him, just to arrange personal terms with him.
ReplyDeleteOh thanks for explaining.
DeleteCongratulations to him
ReplyDeleteFree transfer means the player is not obligated to any club. The player is not bound to any contractual agreement to any club. Every negotiation is done by the player's agent(s) and the new club, his new club. Meaning everything accruable in the new club's contract is the player's. His agent (s) will get percentage of the money as the player agreed with his agent(s).
ReplyDeleteThank you for explaining.
Deletefree transfer implies that this Turkish club that just signed Ahmed musa will not pay any other club any transfer fee. This does not mean that ahmed musa will play for free.

DeleteIt means no club is cashing out from the contract and this always comes cheap.

Congratulations Musa
ReplyDeleteCongrats to him
ReplyDeleteit's pretty straight forward Stella... the player is bought for free after personal terms have been agreed between the player and the new club, players who are bought for free are mostly players who currently don't have a contract with a club, or players who are on their final year of their contract... although buying a player for free doesn't mean you won't pay wages and other allowances to the player.
