Thank you for posting the singles mingles. There where a lot of scammers that contacted me. Outlook blocked my email just because there where a lot coming from Nigeria. Met two men. The only thing is that you could sense desperation in their voices when they discovered I was abroad. You could sense the trying to please attitude. Already calling someone you have never met dear and dearie and so on. Then there was one that was requesting for pictures even though we have not even known anything about each other. How can you be requesting for pictures when you have not even measured the persons intellect? What makes you think that me seeing your picture will make you more appealing to me? In your eyes, you might be so handsome and in my eyes, you are the ugliest of them all!!!!. Nigerian men should learn to look for substance before appearance. I stopped chatting with both men because I knew i was not ready to go through that stress of brining a man aboard and then teaching the man what to do and what not to do. It just always comes back to bite. I need someone closer to my location. No long distance drama.

Look for people within your location but I don't see anything wrong in wanting to knows what you look like.
Don't mind them I don't know what some of these ladies are feeling like. What is wrong in you sending pictures so they will know who they are relating with.
DeleteMe I participated in the last SnM and when he asked me to send my pictures there wasn't any problem at all, I sent mine and he sent his.
From there we are growing, we have met and everything is going on smooth. He is a nice guy and I am enjoying every moment being with him.
Not Everytime we ladies will be complaining about he asked me to send my picture. That is what you signed up for when you put your contact out online for dating, there must be sharing of pictures to avoid the case of some people catfishing

DeletePlease follow your heart. I Filed for my childhood friend (now husband) and the culture shock I experienced almost scattered our marriage. We fought a lot because I left naija when I was young so the so called naija culture in me has watered down and he also struggled with that. If not for God, our Christian background, constant communication and being family friends/childhood friend, I would have ended it. It’s very difficult marrying a typical naija man. I think naija’s harsh environment, hustle have really affected a lot of Nigerians. I tell my friends to find love in their location/abroad or better still date from other cultures. To each their own sha.

DeleteI met a good man here, at first I had complains about communication and tried to walk away but he fixed it. We have even met in person cos he is currently at my my location and, communication was great. But, the truth is I don't see it working out cos I am not feeling it on the love lane. I think I am more comfy with us as friends, and I have told him on 3 accounts. He is trying to put in more effort but, for me I am just not feeling him that way.I hope he understands cos I see him forcing my hand and I do not want to block his numbers cos I think it's a harsh thing to do. He said we could be friends which was OK by me. 3 correspondence later, he is telling me he wants us to do and get married sharp sharp. He doesn't like wasting time. He doesn't stay in lagos but would come down ASAP for us to finalise. To say I was weak is an understatement. After I calmly told him the error of his ways, na so baba come start to dey beg. ReplyDeleteOne was, I think 10 or 12yrs below the age I stated and said he didn't read the part I stated the age I wanted and mehn, the guy uses confusing abbreviations. I have no issue with people who use them but, I was tired of myself asking, "please what is this or that?".
ReplyDeleteAnother I met, sent "hello" and the next thing he said was, "can I see my baby's pictures"? I was confused at first. In the state of confusion, young man sent me lots of his pictures. Then, I snapped out of my confused state and asked that, he stopped with the "baby" thing. I mean, you've just said "hello" and the next thing is "baby". And next thing, he starts talking about having faith. I just confuse more more. Then he asked for his "baby's" pictures again. I just left the chat unanswered. And that was the last. Communication started and ended within some minutes.
When I later went back to read the whole chat, I just laughed and smh.
I still have friends I met from snm. Friends I would always be grateful for. If I begin to talk/type about them, they would know and discussion go start. 🤣

ReplyDeleteMet with one from a couple of SnMs ago. Didnt reach out immediately, guess I wasnt of the right frame of mind at the time. Well, I eventually did almost a year later. We got along quite well and had good chemistry, but turns out she was getting married very soon. So we did the most logical thing.....had mind blowing sex as much as we could, and stopped contacting each other after the wedding!
