This is why Deltans will never enjoy dividends of Democracy.
Just negodu what a full grown man did up there, and tomorrow, you will expect him to work for the masses.

  5. And someone is still wondering if these senators represent us or themselves... It is this sort of madness that makes these people vote for ridiculous bills which is not in tandem with what the masses want. Or is it because he loves the masses so much that he is willing to humiliate himself this way? Nigerian Senate is the most useless arm of government in Nigeria.

  7. Manager is too greedy. Isoko, Ijaw, Itsekiri are in the same senatorial zone. An Isoko person went to the Senate, she was not allowed to go in 2003. The position was given to an Ijaw, 18 years after Itsekiri and Isoko are still waiting for their turn. James Manager has been using the millions he gets from the Senate to suppress and manipulate others. Ibori an Urhobo from Delta South was governor from 1999-2007. Uduakhan an Itsekiri from Delta central was governor from 2007+2015. Now Okowa from Delta North is the governor. The position is suppose to revert to the Urhobos in 2023. How is it possible for Ibori an Urhobo to short change his people and support James Manager an Ijaw. I am from Delta, I follow and read about their politics

    3. @Alex it is suppose to go to the Ijaw's or isoko. Don't forget the Isoko's are not urhobos. We are one but in rulership we have to rule separately. If it gets back to the urhobo's they will likely not present an isoko man. If they will then it's the Ijaw's before 'urhobo' & isoko's'. The Isoko man lobbying for the "throne" right now is a thief and will do worst but na loyalist. I pray he does not smell it because the havoc he has wrecked already in the capacity he his...hmmm. If his son smells the throne the state will go bankrupt!

I pray God puts a good person that will rule better than Ibori because every other person after him has been unbelievable notorious. God give us a great leader! A good one that will make us say this indeed is the hand of God.

    4. @Cute Isoko bae governorship in Delta State is rotated among the 3 senatorial districts, and not on the basis of ethnicity.

Alexander was very correct on his analysis as regards the power equation in Delta State. Senator James Manager, who is an Ijaw man from Delta South, is just wasting his time vieing for governorship.

The Ibori political family, ably led by Sen. Ighoyota Amori, are masters in this political game.

Ighoyota Amori is already spearheading a PDP political group known as DC-23, whose sole aim is to get power back to the Urhobos come 2023.

  9. When you ask him to show you projects he executed for his people, you will be met with deafening silence. He knows our votes don't count so he cares less about what people will say kneeling down to his king maker. Our country Nigeria is on a long thing...

    1. In the UK, Ibori is a felon, having gone to jail twice for stealing and embezzlement. One before he became a governor and another, after he was one. A James Ibori had also gone to jail for stealing aluminum roofing sheets in Abuja in the 1990's. The late Gani Fawehinmi told the court that there is only one Ibori family in delta state and only one James in the Ibori family, as according to the electoral and census registers respectively. The judge who jailed the James Ibori in Abuja identifies this James Ibori as the man he jailed. Also later a man came as the James Ibori who was jailed, and said that his pastor persuaded him to come out to the court. Later the address the new Ibori gave was discovered to be fake, and his pastor and his church also were not found. Despite these evidences, James Ibori the governor was not held to be the James Ibori the thief of aluminum sheets. You know our Nigeria courts.

    2. This info may be true - Ibori might (is labelled) to be a thief but he is a good man and a great leader. His lapses where much but his deed greater. Any true Deltan who was off age during his rule will attest to that. People who witness his ridership and development in the state know he is a good man with embezzlement that went wrong. Ibori na man! Odidi gboigbo 😋

    3. @Cute Isoko bae, I don't understand what you mean by "is labelled too be a thief". He is a thief. He stole Delta State's money. During his time as governor of the state, Delta state was receiving 13% derivation from FG can you see the effect of that money in Delta State? Stop being sentimental about Ibori. He failed most of Deltans! He stole the state's resources. Don't try to whitewash history.

As for the senator, I do not blame him at all. He is just being realistic. His community holds Ibori in high esteem, and he wants the vote of his community, so he had to do what he did, as he can not get the community's vote by being seen as dishonouring a man whom his community had honoured. It is his community that should be blamed for honouring a man of James Ibori's kind. But his community is not worse or better than mine or any community in Nigeria. That scenario can be played out in any Nigerian community these days, except that kneeling down is not the way all Nigerian communities show respect. Money is now the only virtue Nigerian recognise, and James Ibori has it aplenty...Can't furlt Isoko bae sha i understand were she's coming 4rm..Jame Ibori was a giver nd made alot of people rich...specially in his community..

    1. Please ibori is not a common criminal. Na because dem catch am? The tinibu's and the rest can be called whatever. Ibori was a good leader. He stole and was caught that's the only offence. He is far better than any other governor that ruled that state. If he is common James won't be kneeling before him.

    2. Cute Isoko, you are being disingenuous. Ibori is a thief! So is Tinibu and a lot others. For you to come on here and defend him is part of the problem we have in the country today. When someone is caught doing wrong then next thing we hear his supporters say is what about some other person.

    3. Abeg, our Asiwaju & Jagaban Borgu is not a thieves. He's an astute political genius that lives off his smart investment in people.

As an accountant with Mobil Unlimited & has made millions of dollars b4 giving up the corporate world for political runs since 1990s.

If he has stolen your penny please speak up with receipts. Nagode

    4. This is unbelievable isoko bae, this is our problem, jeezzzz. So if a thief comes to your house to steal 10million naira from you and then returns 1 million to you on his way out he stops being a thief according to your theory right? Gaddemmit, we've gone off tangent in this country. People like you will keep voting thieves repeatedly even if the election process becomes free and fair simply because the person has dashed your constituency a drop of the bucket of water he stole from you.
God abegggggg, 2023 must not meet me in this country, I need to japa o.
El haj Asiwaju is a thief too, leave your watery excuse.

  22. The irony is that Manager as a Senator has performed woefully, but when he was Ibori's Commissioner of Works between 1999 - 2003, he perfomed excellently well.

Most of the link roads in the oil city of Warri was constructed during that period. It was on the basis of that performance that he got the ticket to replace Sen. Stella Omu of the Isoko extraction.
