Shocking? Hilarious?
As reported by The Independent and The Mirror, an unidentified newlywed couple appeared to send wedding RSVP invitations that paired gift prices with food options.
A photo of the invitation was shared to the r/Wedding Shaming forum.
According to the photo, guests who purchase a gift worth up to $250 are classified in the "Loving Gift" category, which affords them meals like roasted chicken and swordfish.
The "Silver Gift," priced between $251 to $500, allegedly included options like sliced steak and poached salmon. The "Golden Gift," set between $501 to $1,000, allegedly upgraded meals to filet mignon and lobster tails.
The fourth tier, titled "Platinum Gift," allegedly offered two-pound lobsters and a souvenir champagne goblet for $1,001 to $2,500.
The RSVP ticket then said vegetarian and kosher meals were available at the "Platinum Gift" level.

ReplyDeleteShameless couple I’ll avoid the party like mad
ReplyDeleteYes na. People do not here too. Was it not gorgon that said here proudly that if people don't buy her aso ebi they wont get 'special gifts?'
ReplyDeleteI wonder what unspecial gifts are. Maybe plastic hand fan and soap dish.🤔
I attended ba wedding where the brides mother tore up all the gift that was given to them ,right as the person was handing it , she refused the brides made to be the one to collect the gift.then she handed survenirs accordingly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame, I'd go back home with my gift if I attended that kind of party.
DeleteI wouldn't attend if invited.
ReplyDeleteBetter because u know u don't have a gift for the couples.
DeleteMust you gift the couple expensive gift ?what’s wrong with gifting according to your means.? Absolutely nothing wrong. Ones presence alone to an event is a gift after all you made some financial sacrifices to be present at the wedding. My own wedding sha by Gods grace no aso anything everyone will be gifted equally
DeleteYou want to give what you can afford but will go there to eat every every .Aunty sit down for your house them no call you
Delete😜
ReplyDeleteWahala 🙄🙄🙄

ReplyDeletePetty asf
ReplyDeleteTo each his own.
ReplyDeleteIt so sad that we monitize everything, for them to even set everything aside and honour your invitation is enough.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate all gifts no matter how small, appreciate the thoughtfulness of people
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this one is even small , I went to a wedding of my course.when I gave the couple the envelope .....I was still standing when they opened the envelope in my present and counted the money , I was so embarrass that day but I Sha collected the plate they gave me. They give gift according to your money
ReplyDeletePlate? That means you must have given 1k or less.If you had given big money, you wouldn't have been embarrassed na.
DeleteAnon 19.04 is it not what she can afford she will give? You want her tp steal?!
DeleteVery funny 🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteVery funny 🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDelete🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious 🤣😆😂😄
ReplyDeleteGood for people. Some will eat & eat & even do take away yet they will not spread a kobo on the couple. Ntorooooo
ReplyDeleteThe couple are unwise and want to trend. Here you set up bridal registers in stores that are according to the means of your guest & background. The gifts are determined by the couple. If a couple have their bridal registry in Macy’s or Target, they may tell you when you go type in their names/codes that the “Mikasa set” has been picked & paid for before you so you either find the highest priced or the lowest priced gifts left for last minute guests like us. It’s the same with baby registry. Blaming guests is tacky. If you are a Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates kids and your guests are $m, your bridal registry may be in Neiman or Saks or Barney’s and most of your list will have $20k designer home accents and so on.
ReplyDeleteMy point is that they just want to trend in vindictiveness as the registry is usually household items which can have a wide range. That I bought $100 silverware 2 days before may mean there wasn’t a lot of choices left to pick on their list and that’s all I can afford from their list or registry. Usually gifts aren’t given here on wedding days unless it’s cash.
