DeleteIs she a Medical Doctor? I can imagine d thousands of pounds her parents paid for her tuition,Medical school is expensiveeee.
DeleteTo put that on hold takes courage i dont know i have cos of my parents. They will be calculating dat pounds in naira;dat one na millions upon millions.
That husband better be worth it. But if they are working together to build a biz, dats fine.
This one that just got married few minutes ago
DeleteAnon 14:59 pls let them be, even if they just got married a second ago, mbakwaooo
DeleteShe a physician assistant I think. Definitely not a doctor.
DeleteIf she were a doctor, he would have stated it clearly. In fact, it would have been splashed everywhere in their wedding.
DeleteInukwa!
ReplyDeleteOk o. Thank you wifey πππ
I genuinely pray everything works out for them.
Amen.
DeleteAmen.... cause me I like what I am seeing
DeleteNice one
ReplyDeleteAwwww, so sweet. May the heavenly Host continue to bless your union
ReplyDeleteKudos to her and all the women going through a lot to support their partners.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. To each his own. I can't abeg. Life is unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteI know this young lady that sells recharge card at garage.
DeleteHer husband is an 'Okada man'.
Each time her husband's motorcycle breaks down, the woman wouldn't mind to give him all her little savings for him to fix his 'machine'.
Once the man fix the 'machine' and resumes work ,he refunds the wife and she continues with her own.
Love is an action word.
Had it been he mentioned 'quit' ,I would be against that.
DeleteAwwww
ReplyDeleteAt least this one is on hold.. Many women have completely erased their career path for the sake of marriage. They live completely for their husband's. I just pray he doesn't make her regret her decision. Cos quitting your job in this 21st century kinda marriage is a huge risk.
ReplyDeleteLet d Dogs( over zealous career wives) start the barking...in 1,2,3..
ReplyDeleteIt is you who is a mongrel. GrilledNkita.com
DeleteVery uncouth comment
DeleteWho are dogs?
Are you one, do you think everyone is like you?
Going by his ideology, some men cannot grow without a woman. They just need a women to help them, if u leave them on their own, they make no head way.
ReplyDeleteWhy good two heads are better than one.
Delete13:25 thank God you put 'good' Not 2 heads filled with poto poto dragging oxygen with you.
DeleteStella please this comment from Anon 14:33 should make Funny Comments post.π€£π€£
DeleteAwww this is so sweet, I love love. Welldone good wifey. Its so good to see a husband openly appreciate his wife, so many pay back in bad coins that's why a lot of women are scared to put their career on hold for their husbands, a lot do not appreciate it at the end of the day especially for those in fields where you cannot enter the workforce back when you want to.
ReplyDeleteHis announcement seems manipulative to me. Why openly 'appreciate' her?
DeleteAnon 13:19, it is impossible to please the world. You'll still see someone who has a divergent opinion.

DeleteShe try! I can't biko. We will support each other abeg!
ReplyDeleteTufiakwa. Her parents are alive?!!!
ReplyDeleteWhich hopes and dreams of his would require her to stifle her own career?!!!
This is what is all about.
ReplyDeleteWife behold your husband; Husband behold your wife.
Love is 50-50 it doesn't cost a thing.
This one sweeten heart ❤
ReplyDeleteHer profession doesn't earn well in the UK anyway. Also, no career advancement in it.
ReplyDeleteSays who?
DeleteBeing a medical doctor doesn't ear well in the UK?
Not true dear.
B for Bitterleaf!!
DeleteDem say she is not a medical doctor @13.53
Delete13:09. You lie π jealous liar.
DeleteLol someone is educating you people you are calling her bitter leaf. Anno 13:09 is correct. She is not a medical doctor but a physician assistant which is a MSc degree that runs for 2 years. MD na beans, do you know the prospect of being a medical doctor and how much you earn after becoming a specialist? E easy? Go study medicine then dump am for marriage na.
DeleteJune 27
She's a physician assistant. Highest they earn is thirty sth thousand a year and there is no career advancement.
DeleteBetter to stay home and help hubby with plenty money coming from unverifiable sources
17.10 Bitterlead number 2, the biiterness is oozing all over.
Delete*bitterleaf
DeleteVery good of her
ReplyDeleteThe work don dey tire her b4. Husband getting sponsorship deals, movie roles and the like. Money will be rolling in. And u say she put her career on hold. Before nko. If u see a man to Marry that can support the household fully with his finances then settle down and use that opportunity to birth and train up your kids the way u want. A lot of women are secretly craving this but are afraid of being called lazy or unambitious since strong career lady is now praised
DeleteWhatever works for them.
ReplyDeleteStella did you say say rare?
ReplyDeleteNot rare at all, happens most of the time, lots and lots of women of all ages have put there lives on hold for their men.
I wish them well.
If I had a career, I will not put it on hold for anyone. Thank you
ReplyDeleteBut you don't have a career, so it's fine.
DeleteBetter.
DeleteMake you no go bite your employer.
Anon, u must think I am like ur jobless self
DeleteBravo, and well-done, if his career or dreams hit the rock, then she can always fall back on her medical profession, BTW she is a physician's assistant not a doctor..
ReplyDeleteShe go soon born Tata. Few months to go.
ReplyDeleteCongrats in advance Uche and wifey.
Good for them, for me l can't..
ReplyDeleteYou try wifey.. kudos to you
Being a medical doctor in the abroad especially UK and US gives a lot of money. So my take here is either she's not a medical doctor because I have not even read where the introduced her as one or she doesnt passion for whatever her career is, again there may not be a lot of money to be made in whatever her career is. Medical profession could be anything, is a nurse not a medical profession? Plenty things dey under medical profession. They have not called her doctor even in their wedding invite there was no Dr so and so which I'm sure they would gladly put the prefix being nigerians and Igbo.
ReplyDeleteShe is a physiotherapist, not too sure sha
Deleteuk doc doesn't make money o except you are a consultant in private practice ..NHS doctor nor get too much ..but US doctors make money
DeleteI keep saying, a lot of B.Vs here are misleading others with their 'advices' based on their negative experiences. A snail can never understand the viewpoint of a dragonfly. Beware what/who/which advices you take
ReplyDelete@post. It's beautiful. There's a confidence that comee from knowing your partner is supporting you as much as she can and that makes you appreciate them more.
Alot of bitter people on this blog. If ur husband can provide financially 100% of the finances in this economy then you are BLESSED. Forget all these ones ranting here. I smell small jealousy too. N what stops the wife from having her own remote business while training her kids and building up her family? Nothing. From what I see here she has best of both worlds and that is pinching alot of Ladies.
DeleteWell, good for them. At the end of the day each one should be what is suitable and realistic in their family. No go copy person own come dey write " Stella pls hide my ID".
ReplyDeleteI think what he means is that, she left the country where she was working to be in Nigeria with him. Let her settle in very well she will pick up where she stopped. She really tried, it's not easy to be unrooted.
ReplyDeleteBut you can have your career as well as support husband na. Oga o
ReplyDeleteMy favourite couple chaiiiiiiiiie
ReplyDeleteNwanyioma thankiuooooh daluoooooh
Odogwu thank u for appreciating us.
People that are congratulating her here will insult women who get 50% in divorce. You’re no longer a good woman who “helped to build”.
ReplyDeleteOk ooooπΆπΆπΆ
ReplyDeleteNot every man you can take a bullet for.
ReplyDeleteA mumu man is here doing 'Okpata ozue ora' level, when he cannot take care of his wife and children that are far away.
Most wives compromise their careers for the family. I know I did but decades on, it’s worth it with all kids in global 500. I worked but it was not in the area I preferred where I would have been traveling all over America. She is young and entry level as long as she maintains her career licenses. He is a good guy to appreciate her.
