Urhobo Monarch's Daughter Becomes 1st Black Woman To Be Elected Mayor In Ireland...

Mrs Uruemu Omeru Adejinmi, (daughter of the current Ovie of Agbon Kingdom in Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Mike Omeru, Ogurime-Rime Ukori I) has been elected as the new Cathaoirleach of Longford Municipal District in Ireland.






She has become the first black woman to be elected as mayor of Ireland.

Iris Examiner reports that Adejinmi will function as leas cathaoirleach (mayor), a feat never been achieved by any black in the country.
