When people who have no clue will just open their mouth anyhow and be talking rubbish about issues they don't understand and be passing it down to generation upon generation because of the extreme hatred in their hearts.
Anonymous 10:29, that's one sad reality of what brought us where we are today. If Nigeria had governed itself through regional structure, I don't think the carnage today and every other evil troubling her would have been.
Gowon did not, it was Ojukwu that did. You really need to know the truth and history of what really happened instead of pointing fingers at the wrong people all the time because you refuse to accept your wrong doings.
Lies.... Did you know what the agreement was all about at Aburi? Even the documents and records are still obtainable. Don't tell me that thrash, I am not a baby.
Odogwu! how are you sure that the ignored Aburi meeting resolutions would have saved us from our present realities? Besides, the conditions of the Aburi accord resolve was not a win-win situation. The key actors were just engaged in a power play and supremacy battle, the Aburi meeting was just a cease fire pact. In the art of war,you can not create desolation and call it peace. Lets not argue about who reneged and who did not Nwanne! The matter long. We will just be arguing back and forth. Udo!!
This was a turning point in Nigeria's history. If any of us has taken time to watch this documentary, you would observe that Baba Ojukwu didn't eat anything during that meeting. It is to safe to say therefore that there was lack of trust. These young men fought and stood for what they believed for. May the sacrifice of our heroes past never be in vain. Amen
When we were coping as brothers, Gowon and Ojukwu. For me i blame Gowon for disregarding the Aburi accord and standing everyone up, slighting an agreement, because of what the so-called owners of Nigeria must have advised him. Till today matter never end. We still dey solve the matter till now. If Gowon knew his own Statesmen(who are christians) would suffer this bandit ish, he for do the right thing.
General Yakubu Gowon. One of the least song heroes our time. You are a great hero. Respected by all, that is why u were not killed in the coup of 1975. U were able to hold Nigeria at a crucial time. While your counterparts in other countries were dictators, you alway dialogued. May you continue to live long in good health. Amen
Gowon is a man of God and does not need any man's approval. He was never part of the problem. Nigerians always dishonour untribalistic leaders. Great Nnamdi Azikiwe is not respected because he was also for one Nigeria. Tribalism is the bane of our society.

DeleteChukwu brought Restructuring home and they fought him. Nigeria today is crying and begging for that same Restructuring. Irony of life.
