Singer Yemi Alade Says The Poor Is Getting Poorer In Nigeria And Calls Out CBN For Its Dollar Policy Affecting Businesses..

Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, says the policies of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for dollar transactions is affecting businesses in Nigeria and in a series of Tweets on Sunday She said it the way it should be said...

She tweeted....

“The state of the economy in Nigeria CBN REALLY NEEDS TO CONSIDER THE ORDINARY MAN IN NIGERIA! All the new restrictions on dollar deposits is affecting a lot of businesses. You don’t have enough dollars to even give legitimate business people for their imports ,why not find another solution. Poor man is getting POORER.

“Can you please create a balance for us CBN? While you have focused on truncating cash dollar deposits, the Cyclic nature of Money from rich to poor is making this country unbearable to live in.”

“Go to your local grocery store, whether na aboki shop or Supermarket and see that they CANNOT RESTOCK a lot of products once they run out. We do not produce any of these finished products even toothpaste. Your focus is money launderers but you are in turn worsening our economy dear CBN.

“So much bureaucracy in action and no one consciously trying to apply it to our reality! How long will your restriction on USD go on for? CBN DO BETTER,” .

Even to pay for international exams that are above 100dollars is a problem.

This government is a very wicked one, they put their people in top positions, yet they won't allow us run our businesses in peace.

To restock goods is a huge problem and when you finally do, cargo will want to kill you, tell me how you expect someone to survive.
Oya provide jobs now, mba, yet hustle for yourself they will still press your necks.

      I am very tired.

    2. I never knew how bad it was till last week I was to pay for an exam. Just $1,700 was impossible! Even then, you must buy from black market wether you like it or not. The only thriving business now in Nigeria is bureau de Change and we know the people that dominate that market. Meanwhile, those are the people funding insurgency. This is obviously orchestrated to provide for the very enemies of Nigeria.

    1. If PDP comes in, u won't even see Naira, talk of Dollar. They're no better. The problem with Nigeria is the Nigerian. Nigeria has to work on its values and inculcate the right values from childhood. It's not rocket science. For now, we can only keep praying 'cos the generations on ground right now are ALL write offs.

  5. The time is Nigeria is yet to respect its institutions and remove individualism then the better for us...No one is bigger than his seat/Institution/Position that he or she occupies...The problem with CBN is that the few persons who are majorly capitalists are the ones controlling the economy and calling the shots..In fact watch the video on Youtube on what Otedo Peterside said during the Economic summit organized by CBN in 2019...He said the whole truth about the economy...
