I just went out to check my bag now, some ppl that have received salary, repaid their loaned money to me. All were brand new mints wit 2021 as well. Issokay, since some of our politicians have hidden plenty money let us have more newly printed ones bfor hunger kee person.
New money e Don come I buy garri 10kobo I give Mary to cook am Mary cook am e no done I beat Mary she no cry I kill Mary she no die Which kind Mary be this one? Amina...Amina toro,a lazy girl E Yan I think after that was just chewing of mouth. Nobody should call me old school. I know a lot of old school things jor.
lol...i was just trying to remember the lyrics of the song.... any one who still doesn't know the Nigerian govt lies a lot needs to know now. Obaseki knew exactly what he was saying
....Amina Toro a lazy girl Ehin ohor, Amina used to say, gbaskelebe, Emmaneul, Emmanuel, l wanna gbongbon ribo, agaro pepper......ragorago supepper o baby sam ! @ UNKNOWN the concluding part of the song, then at the end everyone will freeze first to shake, will be out of the game till the last man standing wins. 🙈
Nigerians, your politicians don't take you seriously because they know you will make small noise, and be on to the next in a matter of hours!
Where else in the world will you see a snake eating up large sums of money...and there is no probe, investigation, arrest etc? Not even a little accountability! Rather than fight for answers, Nigerians will make memes and jokes out of it.
So many of you talk big online, but when it comes to action, you are no where in sight. Even the youth that should take up the mantle and fight are busy online with "vawulence (sic) everywhere; E choke o; it is the ___ for me". Always arguing about BbN and starting diaspora wars with other countries!
Sadly, the same youth that should be causing the positive change in the country, are busy behaving like the old men politicians, when given power! Just look at Desmond Elliot and the fundraisers for the #EndSars movement. When the whistle was blown about huge sums of money being syphoned into personal accounts, a few people demanded answers and were shown flimsy documents with first names only and amounts given. Even though the money raised was supposed to go to Lagos business owners to help rebuild after the looting, as well as other Lagos-related causes, the names on the list had several other states listed. Yet ...the matter has been dropped, and everyone is #ontothenext.
Even the celebrities and public figures that could be championing for positive change, are quiet. Most of them are in bed, literally, with these men...so they cannot say anything against their paymasters. The other half are struggling financially, yet will be showing off on social media instead.
Thanks for this piece... I always say we the youth are our own problem.... So much I dont care attitude and channeling of energy into the wrong thing. God help us.

See why Nigerian is the way it is. Olodo dey worry 70% of the youths. Newly printed notes isnt same as what Obaseki was sayimg. Note management ensures new notes are minted regularly after taking out the old and dilapidated ones. Else you wont be seeing "mints" all year round.....all the ones you spray at parties. It's like asking your bank to give you new notes whilst withdrawing but you must have money in your account or brought the money in to exchange.
What Obaseki referred to was just print monwy without the exchange which you cant just do except you want to mess up your currency value
And when these notes are printed, they carry year of printing and batch for tracking purposes.....Nigeria doesn't want to track bandits and terrorists yet, if not, even from the ransom paid, they can track them
Stella na your song I see for this post oo. Make I help you complete am.
New money e don come, I buy garri for 10 naira, I give Mary to cook am. Mary cook am e no done, I beat mary she no cry, I kill Mary she no die, which kind Mary be this o. Amina, Amina toro, a lazy girl..... Took me backemory lane... I no remember the rest kare.
Educated illetrates. When CBN prints money to balance budgets, it is never physical money. It is digital, CBN simply credit the account of the federal government. It is like you receiving alerts when someday transfers money to you with their phones. Printing is never involved. The chairman of governors forum and other governors came out to say no money was printed by CBN. Obaseki doesn't have a finance commissioner, invariably Edo State was absent in that FAAC meeting. CBN prints physical money every year to replace torn and over used money.
I don't know if they still do this. But when I was still back home decades ago, the securities, minting and printing arm of the government,.... don't remember their exact name....they periodically and continuously print the naira currency to replace the worn out and torn notes that get returned through the CBN from the banks; these are then destroyed. This is completely different from printing new notes to inject into the economy which they are also permitted to do if it makes economic sense.
But the fact you see notes printed in 2021 does not automatically indicate fraud has taken place. It also happens here in the US, new currency is constantly printed to replace old worn out / torn notes which are then destroyed.
