Nigeria Intelligence Services Allege Ahmed Gulak Was Killed By IPOB Over Sit At Home Order

Nigeria intelligence community have linked the assassination of former political adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak, to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The proscribed secessionist group, led by Nnamdi Kanu, now has a militant wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN).

Security agencies have repeatedly linked the ESN to the killing of security personnel and destruction of government facilities in South-East and South-South States.

After Gulak’s murder, an intelligence officer told PRNigeria that IPOB has been indicted.

The officer disclosed they intercepted communication and saw videos where Kanu threatened anyone who fails to observe his sit-at-home order from May 29 to May 31 will die.

“Why should Nigeria and the media continue to dignify IPOB by claiming that its continuous atrocities against the security services and Nigerians are executed by unknown gunmen when we have arrested their members confessing their involvements?” the officer said.

Kanu, in a recent broadcast, declared the sit-at-home will commence 6p.m. on Saturday till 6p.m. on Monday.

The IPOB leader warned that the order is compulsory and must be obeyed South-East people.

“From 6p.m. on the 29th, there will be no movement, this is not sit-at-home but no movement. If you are found outside from 6p.m. you are dead”, he said.

Gulak, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, was killed in Owerri, Imo State capital on Saturday night.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa and personal friend of Gulak, Dr. Umar Arɗo, confirmed the incident on Sunday.

A whole intelligence officer based their conclusion on this. What a wow.
Btw, I dont know what is happening again, but all I know is that some people are trying to force Nigerias hand for a war or coup. The violence is too much to be random or coincidental. That is totally wicked.

    1. God bless you brother. This was what they did back then and started killing the Igbo people in the north. Now the northern youths have written, threatening revenge. The Nigerian government are trying to instigate a tribal conflict is all I can see here.

    2. Greedy politicians should not drag Nigerians to civil war. For the past five years, most Nigerians have known hunger, killings, fear and nepotism. If politicians can fight amongst themselves, that war will be justifiable.

  3. So Gulak was the only person that was seen outside and killed on Saturday as they claimed? Why didn't IPOB kill other people that went to church today or Sabbath yesterday? So strange with the speed the Nigerian government always accused IPOB even without proper investigation.

  4. The way these people accuse IPOB of every thing is very shameful. It's clear to the blind that his political enemies have taken him out. Rochas should be questioned. Or maybe Hope is tired of paying him and decided that this will be a good chance to get him out of the way. Either way, his death is political.

  7. Why are our politicians so wicked. We stood under the sun and rain to vote for you. All we wanted was for you to use OUR money and security apparatus to make life easier for us but all you are doing is to use OUR money and securityto make life unbearable for us. Why do you hate us so much. Why are you causing us so much pain. Everything happening in the East is political. Who so ever that is the root of this trouble in Imo State will die a shameful death. Let the earth, the sun, the mood and the stars fight any human who has sworn that Nigeria will not have peace. Let their ways be slippery. Let death come onto them unawares. ENOUGH OF THE BLOOD SHED
    LEAVE US ALONE.

    1. The smart ones know. Everything happening in Nigeria, from book haram to unknown gunmen is political and the not so smart ones are falling for it and pointing fingers.

It was so clear during the EndSars period, they are scared of our unity as youths. So they will use two tools they know best, tribe and religion. It is working.

My prayer is that it keeps consuming them

    1. When Boko Haram claimed responsibility of shooting the Nigerian aircraft even with footage, the government still exonerated them and said they weren't the ones. But less than 24hrs of Gulak's death, they already have a culprit. What does that tells you? Nigeria is truly a joke.

  11. It's very easy to see that they want the south east to be as displaced as the North. Then they take over.

You see...there is nothing in the North...compared to South East and South South. They know their cows can't roam as easily in those places but if you destabilise it enough to make people pack up and run like the North...it's easier.

They used their Fulani soldiers , it didn't work. They made it official by using police and Army thanks to Hope ...still not working. Instead it made Igbos angrier.

Now here comes Gulak...perfect. Set him up to be killed and say oh it's IPOB and invade in full in the name of flushing out "bandits"...meanwhile IPOB dey house dey chop akpu.

Start a tribal war then give conditions...switch to Islam or burn. But the thing is...it won't work ..not in this clime.

Man plans...God laughs I always say and also Igbos are far more richer now than before and are scattered far and wide. You can chase them out of your lands no wahala but they will never leave their ancestral home for you.

It's really unfortunate that even from my house I can see what this fulani govt is trying to do and it's even more unfortunate that there is no single intelligent person among them to tell them that it won't work.

  12. The same intelligent services that have not unmasked the unknown gunmen wrecking havoc in the East. The very same ones that can't uncover the sponsors of terror or the source of their ammunition.
Swiftly, they've concluded investigation on the murder of Gulak and it's IPOB.

We should all be worried. There seems to be a sponsored attempt to push this country to war.
    Stay safe guys.

  13. Foolish leaders!!
What about the 50 innocent souls that were slaughtered in Benue? Who is responsible?
These innocent citizens that they are slaughtering in Imo state will consume them.
Peace will elude them and they will die a painful death.
