NDDC Headquarters Shut Down By Protesting Ijaw Youths

The headquarters of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State was shut down by protesting youths on Thursday May 27,2021 
 




The protesters under the aegis of the Ijaw Youths Council, numbered over 700 
 
Assistant Secretary of IYC, Eastern Zone, Ibiso Harry, said the action was directed by the IYC President, Peter Igbifa, after the expiration of the deadline given to the Nigerian Government to constitute a substantive board for the NDDC.

  1. IYC, Eastern zone.... It's okay. Didn't know Port Harcourt(Igweocha) is still under Eastern zone according to this report.

  2. It's the burning of tires on tarred roads that I am against. That shit spoils tarred roads and it's a barbaric act. Demonstrate all you want but please don't burn or destroy properties.

    2. The youths should look beyond what the government can do and wake the lions in them to build this country.
      Can't they just hold peaceful protest??
      Destroying properties is not a way forward or in a any way will improve growth and development.
