Ozuma Bridge in Okene constructed by Kogi State government collapses a week after it was completed.

    4. Anon 10:48, look at the spiders web used in constructing the bridge and try to convince any sensible person it will have the same strength as real iron rods. You people deceive yourselves a lot.

    1. The govt should be held responsible, how can you award contract and not make sure good job is done?

  3. This is a big joke! This country is just headache inducing, I mean see the rubbish they did and I'm sure they used one useless scissors to cut a nonsense red ribbon when it was completed. Mchewwww

Why won't it collapse when the sands will be more than the cements used.

  4. Aaaaaaaaah shoddy work at play here.
Just see how thin the rods are.

See it is a business/ corruption at play.
A percentage is given to the Governor,
a certain amount to the Directors at the Ministry for approval,
Grease The palms and soles of permanent secretaries,
Each step of the way monies/ bribe are exchanged.

FINALLY oga contractor is left with a measly amount to execute the project.
This is happening in every state, no exception!

Citizens always at the recivirec end of it all.
Thank goodness no life was lost.

    1. You're very smart. That bridge is still under construction.
All I see here is an act of negligence from the HSE folks for allowing that amount of pressure on that part of the bridge.
The bridge isn't up to 50% completed, let alone commissioned.
Don't be too fast to curse the country. Nigeria isn't a joke.

    2. So were they planning to lay real iron rods after the 50% completion or at the launching? Because what's in that picture is sand and knitting thread.
