@ second question, not necessarily funny, one of my kids is so good at bombarding me with compliments.
ReplyDeleteI'm loosening my hair right now and the cutie just told me "mummy I love your hair" my heart ❤️ just melted.
Awwwww, little cutie
DeleteChristmas
DeleteI loved it as a child and still do,
New dresses down to our undies
Having uncle's dash is mint notes.
I still love christmas π
I remember when I was like 7 and we were coming home from children Sunday school. Those big brothers that play ball kicked ball at us. I bent picked it and put it in my shirt as big belle.
DeleteThey came and asked for their ball. I was a cute stubborn child. I told them to ask their leader to come and apologise to me. The guts π. They were all staring at me. I was in their middle and my friends were begging me to give them let's go.
I sat on a stone and refused! They all squat round me like giants. Whatever that was going through their minds I didn't know.
Eventually the supposed leader came and begged me and I gave them their ball and told them *never to kick ball at God's children*.
When I left, after few steps, my friends and I picked serious race. We ran till we reached home panting. They kept asking me what I was thinking. I mean those boys would have beat us up. I honestly don't have a reason or understanding as to why I did that. But I never forgot it; and the memory of it makes me laugh.
Anonymous 00:00 you are a rascal π€£π€£π€£π€£
DeleteI've always heard of kids going to The Amusement Park but I've never been there. The way I felt then wasn't funny at all. π
ReplyDeleteThose days we "roll tyre" or "wheel" as kids from Powerline to Model 2,then model 3 and then to old express before we stop at Holy cross church and head home..
ReplyDeleteThat was the pioneer of my networking and "Ojemba" group of company because I sabi wakaππππππ
After that,we grew a bit and migrated to game centre to play Sega and Ps1..
Those days at Aba mehnnn;and I was quite popular ehhhnnππππππ
@MARTINS
I ain't sure that i ever rolled any tyre or tyres but childhood was still super for muah.I am pretty sure most of us bathed in the rain(s) since way back when right?
DeleteSuper fine*
DeleteThe distance mhen!!! No fond memories of childhood jare. I only remember hawking my wares throughout the whole of Ariaria market, if you know how huge that market is. I'd trek from MCC road to old express straight to Bakassi, Shoe Plaza, Power Line, A Line, T line, Free Zone, where they sell all books(ogbo ndi akwukwo), ogbo ndi anu (meat sellers), ogbo ndi ogwu (drug zone), ogbo osisi....
DeleteIn fact, I try not to relive those days because I suffered and I kept wondering if it would ever end.
Awwwww Twins squared darling, I know all the places you mentioned. Such long distances. Mehn, you really went through a lot. π
DeleteI acted a pastor back in the days but it never came to fruition..π πππ
ReplyDeleteππππ Why na? By the way, you've been missing in action. Hope you're good?
DeleteI am super fine and thanks for reaching out to me..My phone went bad and i had to go repair it..I haven't been online for days now
DeleteWhen our daughter was four, my husband was always worried about how rough she was while playing with her 2 brothers.
ReplyDeleteHe would stop her while she was climbing the bannister, trees or wrestling with the boys. He would always start with “Honey, I love you, but you can’t do that....” and our daughter would just stare at him.
One day, she was doing hand stands with her brothers and my husband felt she had done enough and decided to ask her to stop.
My husband: “Sweetheart, I love you, but I think you need to.....
Before he could even finish, she stared at him point blank and said....
“Your love is too much for me. I’ve had enough of it”.
My husband stood there, eyes wide, opening and closing his mouth like a fish. He couldn’t believe it. We laughed for days.
The bond between those 2 eeeh. She’s 9 now and I’m still second best. Daddy always comes first.
The love was blocking her enjoyment.π
Deleteππ€£ππ , your love is too much for me.

You must be from 35years upwards π
DeleteIt was so much fun back then.
Sesame street, kidi vision 101, Different strokes for different folks (with that genius boy), tales by moonlight, etc. Ah! Memories...

My mum: Ehen na. Is there any other thing you know.
My school teacher in primary 2: write a composition about your dad. Submit tomorrow.
Me: Daddy how old are you?
Mr Father: 112 years.
Teacher next day: ππππ
Stella, abeg e plenty.
My fondest childhood memory is going to a family friend's place. The eldest bro protected me & doted on me. I felt so safe; unlike my folks place where I was abused and forced to live with my abuser for many years after. Yes, parents knew.
ReplyDelete2nd question. Not really funny but...
My niece came to report that her friend had smacked her. She wasn't crying though.
Suspicious, I asked her what she did. With a confident glint in her eyes, she said "Ah! I gave her jembe!". I burst out laughing.
It was eye-opening because in my days, I'd have cried to my folks. Kids these days have learnt the rule of Keep your hands to yourself or else you go collect.
I remember when I was a kid ( around 7) me and my younger sister used to go a neighbor’s house. She was childless at the time. Innocent me didnt know she has being TTC since 5 years of marriage and her bro in-law, Chilaka ( in his late 20s as at then) was living with them.
ReplyDeleteSo one day, I wandered into a room and saw so many baby stuff like baby drawer, “baff” used in bathing babies, walker and so on, then I innocently went to her and asked the most funny question: “ Aunty, is this the “baff” you used to bathe bro chilaka when he was a baby?”
She bursted out laffing

DeleteI'm so tired, can't type much.
ReplyDeleteI had a very beautiful childhood. My parents were not rich but we were comfortable. We went to good schools, wore good clothes and ate good food. There was so much love and laughter at home. Fondest memories.
I want to give my daughter a beautiful life. I hope she has good memories of her childhood just as I.
She says a lot of funny things. Last Sunday, she asked for rice, I told her it was finished. She said, " let me go and cross-check".
May God keep us alive and bless us abundantly to give our children the best of the best πππ
DeleteTo be sure, very important
DeleteAmen.

ReplyDeleteI had a fun filled childhood. I had time to play, I went hunting, went fishing. I rolled tires, rode 'boris', got punished many times by soldiers, as I grew up in the barracks. stole groundnuts from the Commanders farm. I have been chased by a leopard, bitten by a donkey. I went to Niger Republic on bicycle without my parents knowing ( I was in Js1 then and we shared a border).
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Primary 6, my friends and I almost burnt down a police station because we trying to catch bush meat. Someone brought an Idea we set fires and wait on the other side so we can catch them. The fire t out of hand and fire service were called to put out the fire.
Anytime I remember that incident, body still dey pain me from the beatings wey I receive. Na so my hunting carrier take end.
My childhood was fun!!!!! Its. miracle I'm alive to tell it cos I took risks.
Wow you are a real life Tarzan...You fit the character in the book ''one week one trouble''
DeleteMy nephew is about 4, and we had planted a small garden. When the plants had sprouted a couple inches, I took my him out to the garden and walked along the side pointing and naming each plant. When we reach the end he looks up at me and in a pitiful voice says, ‘But D, where’s the mashed potatoes?’
