The media personality slapped the young man for reportedly writing down names without his permission. As seen in the viral video, Ahmed Isah called out the slap recipient, asked him a few questions before he proceeded to slap him on the face.
After the onlookers proceeded to stop Ordinary President from assaulting the young man further, he took the microphone and accused the young man of being either a thief or a scammer.
Isah said;
”Why I no go rush this one?
”Why him dey write una name?
”This thief fit wan steal from una? Why I no go rush this one…?”
A young woman came to plead on the man’s behalf before the Ordinary President continued with his program.
Isah, popularly known as the ordinary president, hosts a program titled: “Berekete Family” which is aired on Human Rights Radio 101.1 in Abuja and streams online via social media platforms.
The program offers ordinary citizens the opportunity to tell their stories bordering on the injustice they have experienced.
He recently came under fire for physically assaulting a woman on his show. The incident occurred during filming for a BBC Pidgin documentary. The assault victim had confessed to pouring kerosene on her niece’s head; and setting the head ablaze..
In the course of interviewing her, Isah flared up and gave the woman two hot slaps.

DeleteNo he doesn't deserve a slap. We cant all go about slapping criminals on by one. There are systems and processes to handle fraudsters and Ahmed Isa has access to such systems even more than most Nigerians. There's no way the matter would not be taken seriously once his name is involved.

ReplyDeleteI remember this particular incident, it happened last year I think, or early this year but before the lady's incident.
While the young man should have just followed the instructions given, Ordinary shouldn't have slapped him. I remember my thoughts that day that Ordinary president wrongly profiled the young man, same thing he accused many SARS officials of doing to innocent young Nigerians.
Ordinary and his team will be working with pastor Wale on EI, we hope he will be able to work on his temper.

There was a day someone mentioned a particular lady on the show and Ahmed asked if the woman does not know the show? They said the woman said she doesn't like the show and doesn't listen to it. And they responded "Amen!!!"

He is really using his platform to blackmail government officials (underground) and get favours from them - NCC USSD Code, plots of government land, money, program sponsorships and adverts in his radio station, MC roles for private and official ceremonies (some he doesn't do the work and neither refunds the fees paid to him) etc. The moment the government officials and private companies stop giving him the favours, he continuously picks on them/their organisations and badmouths them until they succumb.
