ReplyDeleteOne of the ways to identify unexposed people is when they complain about other people’s accent. Such people get humbled when they travel out. Even Americans born and bred in America have different accent. Someone from Texas has a different accent from another from Ohio. Bush meats.
ReplyDeleteLMAO
DeleteSo this recent trend on IG and Twitter about accents has turned this one to EXPOSED?
E gbami! Aunty please what makes one exposed?
The same analogy flowing from white man hero worship? 😂😂😂
You're so right, that's for people who have never traveled. The worst is that even our Lagos peng accents would still sound foreign to American ears. I had a sweet accent before I left Nig to US, but my dear in US, every foreigner or immigrant have an accent to them, so now, I speak in my authentic Nigerian accent with my full chest. Whenever I notice my accent changing I slap my mouth back to sound fully Nigerian. That's how it should be. My kids can sound foreign cos they were born here, but as for me, I will speak Nigerian, I am my father's daughter.
DeleteLambo carry gooo
ReplyDeleteSweet Lambo
ReplyDeleteLambo, I love her reply 🥰🥰🥰🥰
ReplyDeleteFact remains that for someone who supposedly graduated from a tertiary institution, her command of english is very poor, regardless of her accent. Furthermore, she tends not to speak with her regular accent but tries to sound 'American'most of the time which leads to her sounding borderline foolish. She needs to learn to speak with her normal accent and try not to sound like what she is not. Period.
ReplyDeleteAll i'm sayingg! I wanna gonna wannabe. And she makes really dumb statements mahnn!
DeleteDamnn!
You took my airflow 🙈🙈
DeleteFact remains that Igbo is predominantly spoken in the south east (as should), so those who grew up in places like Aba and Owerri yet speak good English are those whose parents either spoke good English or could afford good education. For the majority who attended public schools, education is really poor. Your anger should be directed towards those who destroyed education in Nigeria. They tried.

ReplyDelete@Lilysimple..Just because you don't like Lambo, you don't always see anything good in her..Leave her be..She didn't steal anything from you..You wished your favourite won but it didn't happen..Move on dear..You are too bitter
ReplyDeleteHer accent isn't the problem because she's not even true to it. She tries to 'funeh'. She has poor command of the English language.
