Silence is golden at home, if you do not have a child at home...
You just close your eyes and enjoy the quiet.
If you have a child and close your eyes to enjoy the quiet, you open them to find dramatic scenes like this in the photo...
My Bambinos are Teenagers now and the stress is worse but when they were little kids ,OMG I dare not leave them alone, I DARE NOT!
I will never forget when I closed my eyes to relax and was suddenly hit by the quiet around the house. I rushed out to look for the Bambinos and found one of them barbing his curly hair and the other one shaving... I SCREAMED!
Another time , I found them bathed in white powder..
Another time, pages of lots of books pulled out and torn..
Another time, my wallet opened, all content on the floor and some euro notes torn or squeezed..
I know someone who wanted to kiss her cute baby boy and his mouth was full of shit, LOL!
Got any stories? Lets gist!
Hehehehe
ReplyDeleteWe will see what this one pulls off.
π²π oh my God, look at his innocent face and tiny legs.
ReplyDeleteI came from bathroom only to see my son eating his poo and smiling, is it my makeup...this boy broke everything last month and rubbed his entire body with it.
DeleteI would have loved this but it makes me cry instead. My beloved son has autism. Times I should have enjoyed every bit and milestone, just brings me even closer to tears as I haven't had that moment to see him being silly or growing up just like his peers. Trust me, I really envy parents that have wonderful moments with their children and I always wish, God should have spared me that little moment of joy seeing my child do little silly things that could make me laugh. This month is autism awareness month and I want to use this opportunity to wish every other parent with a child with autism luck as you pull through. Our children are unique and as much as we cry within, we still love them no matter what. God's blessings to all you amazing parents on SDK blog. I pray God grants those seeking for the fruit of the womb healthy children. ππππππππ

DeleteMine was not silence is golden per se ....when my lil girl was about a year and a half , we went to this Angican church , in my country of residence only old people go to these churches. As we were there she kept freeing herself from me, the usher walked up to be and asked me to leave her alone, I left her and we all closed our eyes to pray.
ReplyDeleteLo and behold after prayers what did the congregation open their eyes to? My little girl standing beside the pastor in the pulpit smiling cheerfully and waving at the congregation , ofcourse they waved back and the pastor proceeded to lay hands on her and prayed for her. At the end of service everybody waited to shake hands with her and wished her well.
That was how my baby turned celebrity for that day. LOl.
She will turn 4 soon.
Funny and cute at the same time. ππ❤ Children are just the best.

DeleteSo sweet
Delete❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ She responded to her calling...
DeleteStella don't even go there o. With kids you never know what they are up to. They can't stay in one place. If I leave my son for 2 mins hmmmm. He removed all the baby wipes from the pack. Pressed all the whole toothpaste on his face and floor. Used scissors to cut our curtains to different patterns the list is endless! Hide the remote control for the TV for days we be looking for it sometimes I just keep quiet before I run HBP on top of children matter!
ReplyDeleteThis will be a funny read. I remember a day I was in the room with my kids, they were playing while I was surfing the net, before long I fell asleep for less than 15mins only for me to open my eyes, lo and behold, all the clothes in the wardrobe are on the floor, even the ones their hands could not reach, they had to push the bedside table close to the wardrobe to finish up the work they started. I shouted when I opened my eyes, but before I could take the cane to give them their sizes, I heard mummy I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteChai umu aka
DeleteYou see, what little children cannot destroy, does not exist.
ReplyDeleteI have a four years old and 18 months old toddler.
When my daughter was 3 years, ijust had my second child then I took a little nap one afternoon, when I woke up she told me her stomach was hurting so she took medicine.
My heart jumped. I climbed up and reached our medicine box on the wardrobe, the cough syrup bottle was empty. She downed about a little more than half bottle.
I was puzzled because I have to climb up on something to reach the box. I asked her how she got up, when she showed me I was shocked.
She climbed the window, from there she managed to climb the bed frame, the type that is higher in front, then she carefully balanced her self on top of the frame and stood on tip toes to reach the box on the wardrobe.
I no sleep pass 10 minutes o.
Whenever my house is awfully quiet my mind starts beating fast, except they are sleeping.
Omg π³π³. This isn't funny at all. My daughter did same. She LOVES taking drugs. My husband will always say" Pls keep the drug far away before our pharmacist will swallow all."
DeleteJesus christ this is scary. that is overdose. I hope she is fine
DeleteWow that is really scary
DeleteEverything now is mouth, what they lay their hands on is going into their mouths.. I'm so scared of this stage..
ReplyDeleteAwwwww
DeleteKeep small objects out to reach, to prevent the risk of choking
DeleteSilence is golden...until them cuties begin to arrive. I don't observe siesta anymore unless they are asleep.
ReplyDeleteJust went in to have my bath now only for me to be perceiving the scent of my nail remover, I rushed out with soap suds all over and saw my second baby with the bottle of remover, the contents already on the floor. I had to smell her mouth but nothing. I was really thanking God. What if she swallowed the whole stuff? God forbid. Still gave her some red oil for precaution sake.
Kids are precious but atimes, they can make you go gaga. I still love them though and wouldn't wish not to have had them.
Story of my life. I have been trying to take a nap but how can I when my big madam is awake.
DeleteLol. Please don't give palm oil again. Milk is better

I remember the day I was in the room with my kids (2 & 4 years old), they were playing while I was surfing the net. I fell asleep for less than 15mins only for me to open my eyes to see all the clothes in the wardrobe on the floor, even the ones their hands could not reach they have to push the bedside table close to the wardrobe and finish up the work they started. Before I could get the cane to give them their sizes, I heard mummy I'm sorry from both of them. Wetin I go do na, had to forgive them, gave them strict warning not to do it again (my 2years old actually did it again) and made them to pack the clothes back to the wardrobe. Their presence can be dramatic but surely entertaining, I pray God bless every GTC women.
ReplyDeleteI say a big Amen to your prayer.
DeleteAmen!
DeleteLMAO.. Woke up to the sound of my phone ringing one evening. A neighbor was ringing me to pick my underwears, both pants and bras downstairs. My son who was 2 then had thrown all downstairs. Imagine the embarrassment of having to walk by other neighbors and their visitors, greeting and picking pants...or when he used a full cup of Vaseline on his brother's hair and face and then finished up the makeup with lots of white powder. It was that one's cry that got me running, only to find 2 miniature Willy Willy lookalikes staring at me. That boy eh, there was no dull moment with him. He kept me on my toes. He's 10 now and forming big boy for mummy.. Lol. The funny thing is the sheepish look he will plaster on his face(just like that little man up there) once he's caught. And you end up feeling sorry for him .
ReplyDeleteOh boy o haaa kids ehn
DeleteChildren can be handful sometimes but thank God for them . Please don't use red palm oil again,it worsens the situation. I heard giving the person milk to drink is better. Over to doctors in the house.
ReplyDeleteYou are right anon.Milk not palm oil
DeleteIf our parents tell us the pranks we did as kids, we would understand better. Its just the nature of kids.
ReplyDeleteWhen my young cousin was heavily pregnant, she was very tired and took a short nap. When she woke up, her house was very quiet so she went round to look for her 2 yrs old toddler. Imagine her horror when she found his legs sticking out of the big basin of water she had fetched and kept in the bathroom for washing because they sometimes didn't have water.
ReplyDeleteThe toddler was stone dead sadly. She is yet to recover from the traumatic experience
Oh Jesus this is so sad,it happened to my baby too but she didn't drown because I was awake
DeleteOh my God! This is sad.
DeleteOh sorry very sad experience
DeleteThis is just heartbreaking.. She will need persistent psychotherapy for a chance at recovery because she will keep blaming herself for those few minutes of sleep that changed her world. It's really sad. Being a mother is not easy atall
DeleteI'm just new to the club. My only child is 9 months old. But man!
ReplyDeleteI and my wife were taking a bath together not too long ago and somehow, I noticed the unusual quietness in the bedroom and my antenna rose. I came out of the bathroom to behold my son practically luxuriating in his mom's cream. All over his body, the floor, everywhere. He had also injested a good amount and was smiling with the two teeth he has managed to gather. Gave him some milk and proceeded to lament my fate as the cream I bought for the wife was fairly expensive and she had just begun using it the day before.
He can be exhausting to be around and I sometimes wonder how my wife copes. But I won't trade him for anything in the world.
Dozed off and woke up to crayon graffiti all over the bedtoom
ReplyDeletePlease if you have babies, don't litter your house with nylon. Always cover your water container. Keep drug or other substance, out of their reach.
ReplyDeleteDon't be careless with electrical cables and connected phone chargers. Please always lock your kitchen door and toilet doors. We can't be too careful, may God preserve and protect our children.

DeleteI can’t leave bucket of water in my house. Even the wc, I’ll cover and put bucket with clothes on top of it. Cutleries I’ll put far away. The drugs I keep in the fridge, realized they now go to it, I changed location. Once the big one sees the fridge door open, he screams and goes to bring his younger one out. For jik, puts it far away. I make a mental picture of the necessary evils and try as much as I can to put them away. But you know what you can never be too careful. God please take care of those we can remember and put them far away from our kids
