Nigeria's NCDC Confirms Outbreak Of ‘Bird Flu’ In 7 Northern States

Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu the Director-General, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, has confirmed bird flu outbreak in seven states in the Northern part of Nigeria.

The NCDC DG in an interview on Tuesday, April 6 ,2021 while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria, revealed that the Avian Influenza has spread across Kano, Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Niger State.

Avian Influenza is a strain of the influenza virus that infect birds, but can also infect humans.
