The UK government had unveiled plans to grant asylum to persecuted members of IPOB and the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).
The Nigerian government in its submission said the UK government was undermining security in Nigeria by its actions.
Reacting to the plan by the UK government, Nigeria's Minister for Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said if indeed the UK government has such plans for IPOB and MASSOB members, then something is wrong somewhere, adding that it will be sabotage against Nigeria's fight against terrorism.

The Judge who gave that exparte labelling indigenous people as terrorist is late, he died earlier this year else I would have called for the withdrawal of his certificate by the NBA.

1) Nigeria has deeply tanked so they are cutting hands to benefit themselves any way it goes.
2) An outright bribe/settlement may not be possible so why not better lure people who seek an improved life, presenting themselves as agitators/secessionists asylum to weaken said struggle and shut them up eventually.
3) It's an outright trap to find key members and financiers.
4) A deliberate plan conceived on both ends to give pseudo importance to secessionists, they get relaxed and then their new supporters turn around to hand them back to their tormentors.
However it goes, no foreign nation especially a thorough colonialist is your friend. Kind of makes me very uncomfortable that lives are being lost on a biafran struggle with no clear vision and backbone... With the recent excitement following this news.
The Nnamdi Kanu styled IPOB is too Spontaneous, loud and uncoordinated to bring that utopia they imagine. They are not without good sides though, after all their antics have brought to our consciousness more than ever the purpose of infiltrators from different countries planning to overwhelm indigenous Nigerians backed by elements of Government.
Nnamdi Kanu is a fore runner material not a leader material and it shows. The community vigilantes is good but it's time
we accept that the individualistic success mindset of the Igbos will ensure we can't collectively excel. True development will come with regional excellence in mindset and deeds. Then we can stand as one with the right diplomacy reach out to our neighbours and demand faur share of resources that will better our lives.
The struggle for relevance, control and sabotage is bigger than the whole biafran thing and, when the main pushers are low IQed, low emotional intelligent underachievers... I can't deal abeg!
