ReplyDeleteThis brings back sweet memories.
Because of the evils these days children don't enjoy outdoors plays like we used to,like sitting and watching the moon at night, cooking with milk tin, rolling tyres, playing with rubber bands, bathing under the rain, etc.
Go to present day ghettos, you will still see the Children doing almost all these you mentioned above.

The dancing palm tree.
I dreaded making that hair thread, the way they would pull, comb and twist the hair eh,if you shout wahala, you are faced with either making your hair or cutting your hair. After making the hair kwa,you hang your head like a medieval vulture because of the tight hair,I didn't like it cha cha.The only consolation was that your hair will grow wella.
ReplyDeleteOh mine!!! I can relate with the 3. I remember the first day i made this thread in primary school, the lady used the thread to hold the top of my hair, plaited my hair and used the thread to hold the tip of my hair, when i got home my dad said, "What, who plaited this bomb on my hair" π. Ever since then, I never did thread π
