  3. I went to a boarding school at Offa from Kaduna at 11. It was a 14 hour road trip. I went alone even for the first time. My Dad took me to Mando Park, put me in แปŒkin Express J5 vehicle heading to Offa and gave me 1000 naira. It was a bundle of 10 naira new notes. I bought my mattress, cupboard, provisions, uniforms etc. from the money when I got to Offa and still had pocket money left. My Dad eventually came to visit a few times. Then my mum too. Throughout my time in secondary school, I doubt they came up to 5 times. There were no mobile phones at the time.

University, naaa I can't remember they came more than twice. Once for matriculation and the other to inspect the accommodation I got.

I asked my Dad recently (knowing him to be Baba แปŒmแป) what type of behaviour was that na ๐Ÿ™„?

His face dropped. He said in Yoruba, "ayรฉ รณ ti fแบน́lแบน́ nรญgbร  yแบนn" (The world hasn't turned to a dangerous place or turned to shit then). My Dad reminded me that there was no Boko Haram, that almost everyone looked out for their neighbours and their neighbours kids, that no one kidnaps, that armed robbery was such a big deal it makes 9pm NTA national news etc.

I came to a conclusion, these are the last days. For starters, I couldn't let ***** go to Boarding school even when he got into Middle School. All their devices have at least 3 parental control softwares. They're never alone with drivers or nannies (we have 2 adult policy). YouTube is a no, if KidTube is not enough, forget it. Dstv, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video are all passworded for content and can't be viewed on devices and laptops, only on large TV where everyone can see what's going on. They can't use the estate pool and football fields without adult supervision etc. They only do sleepovers with 2 families that I know and are my personal friends with similar values once a year.

These are the times we're in. It's so much harder to be anything meaningful especially a parent. Sometimes you're just tired.

I think this is a vent.

Okay so if trumpet sounds today will I tell baba God that I have never traveled to a foreign country๐Ÿ™†

I saw an albino woman in our church as a little child and I left children department to go and sit with her. When they came to drag me out I cried as if my life depended on it that the woman had to join me in begging them to allow me sit with her. When church dismissed I started begging her "Oyibo I go follow you to your country".. Until my mama come carry me๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ Chineke zazienum ooo

I wish every Nigerian that desires to travel abroad would get the opportunity to do so especially for vacation or studies.
That way, they would know how to demand good governance from these poli-thiefcians.

    17. The people stealing Naija's money are all folks who mostly schooled abroad. Abroad is not "14 miles from paradise" as a Ghanaian friend told me they think in Ghana. You will work till your body cries out for vacation. Oyinbo na flesh & blood, infant they have folks more wicked than village people. Watch "Roots" by Alex Haley, watch the murder video clips of George Floyd and other black people. Read up how one man went inside a grocery store and killed 22 people he did not know due to his evil heart. Human beings are the same. If not for lack of good governance and the other associated things like electricity, increased poverty & Unemployment I would have said you are not missing anything

On Sunday morning,I said he won't be going to church that he has headache,I was even feeling sorry for him, told him I'll stay at home with him.I got the kids dressed so they can worship in a church close to the house. He now came out and saw one of the boys using a belt that easwas his, told him to go and change the belt. The boy went inside and came out with the same belt, horseband started quarreling the boy me sef join mouth to quarrel the boy. When the kids went to church this man just transferred aggression to me o..malice start.Usually I'll go and make peace but wo enough is enough, make we keep the malice dey go.dstv expired and he refused to pay for subscription just to punish me cos he nos I watch TV alot but I no send,I'll keep myself busy with SDK.We go keep this malice tire.He went and bought big Stout and he's drinking it (normally we drink together but I no go send) if I get money, tomorrow I'll buy smirnoff ice 2cans and drink too.I hate malice but this man don push me to the wall..5days and still counting..we mooovee.

You might be here for pity party goers, and I am not one. I will tell you the truth.
True marriage is not a scam. I have lived with my husband for over a dozen
years and we've never quarreled. Even if there should be quarrel, I won't waste time
to apologize to him even if he is wrong. Yes, that is what Jesus taught (Matthew 5:22-23, Romans 8:17-21).
Instructed in the secret? Jesus; know him personally. study his teachings. Get a notebook and pen and fast/pray and study.

  33. Was supposed to hang out with my colleague this evening, but he stood me up.

He made the plans and asked me to call him when I was ready, I did and he did not pick up. Don't know if I should ask him what happened or let it slide.

    1. I'd say let it slide so you don't look desperate to him. Act matured and go about your business next you see him just act like it was nothing 'unless he apologise'. Then he can always make up for it.

    2. Personally ill ask him not like his answer will make any difference when he tells me I'll just say okay just wanted to make sure you were okay knowing you're fine no wahala. Then cut him off and face front or keep the communication cold

At the start of lockdown, I had been communicating with an older guy based here in the abroad we never met he travelled to Nigeria, we were chatting on his way to the airport, he stopped replying I assumed he had boarded and he'll let me know when he landed. Oga ignored me for for over two weeks. New years day I dropped a message checking on him he replied instantly so I know he was ok. After that I withdrew. I concluded he has a family in Nigeria. He came back and resumed pushing for us to see. I reply nonchalantly

  36. In bed, missing an old friend i met in Abuja. Guy was fine, tall, and dark just my spec. Enjoyed spending time with him. Enjoyed the sex. We came into each other's lives at the perfect time and it only lasted a few months but I cherish those memories. We're both married to other people and have children. We keep in touch but nothing inappropriate. Respect him a lot. Miss you D.
