In partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism and NIFS, the maiden edition of the EKO STAR FILM and TV AWARDS was launched, to recognise the considerable accomplishments of women in the Film and Television industry in Nigeria.
The Event held on Monday April 12th.....

DeleteNancy deserves to win an award so does Ruth, everyone must not win this time, at the moment Nancy is one of the busiest actors in Nigeria, I don’t like people that complain too much, there are so many other actresses that weren’t nominated and they didn’t complain.

ReplyDeleteLetss try to celebrate people regardless...nancy was awarded for a different reason (acting) Ruth no reach her for that one. Sometime it's not how long but how well. There are movies and there are films. You can't produce many poorly written/movies and expect to be rewarded with person wey take em time. You can wait for your time to reach. Since it is CALL OUT time. Ruth should also call out rok for playing her movies back to back while other people's movies are on hold. She should call out her friend Mary for rejecting upcoming producers films just because they don't belong to their clique.

And if it is so important to you and you feel sidelined because you don't belong to a particular clique, please enter market, buy plaque, pay signage fee and give yourself an "AWAR" and rest, mbok. I want to believe this partnership with Lagos State government is a continuum and this is just the first. Definitely, future awards would follow and those not recognized today would be tomorrow.
