    2. Your cousin is not that young man. If you lack the ability to empathize as a human, move on, you must not comment. Your cousin pulled through because she was mentally healthy and may have had the support of loved ones. There's no one who isn't suffering from some form of mental illness that will commit suicide. It's unfortunate that we live in a country were people don't have the appropriate psychological and emotional support to develop any coping skills, hence, the resort to suicide when in crisis

  14. How's this enough reason to commit suicide? He doesn't have sense at all

  15. He was supposed to read and pass. He didn't. If getting a degree wasn't his path, he could have chosen another. He didn't. He wasn't supposed to cheat. He did. He was supposed to be sent off or arrested. He wasn't. Instead, the lecturer gave him a chance to start over. He wasted it, wasted his life and will now cause his family untold grief. He will not rest in peace no matter how many people type it. A very selfish and entitled child. Tueh!

You may not understand until a doctor who cheated his way through school misdiagnoses your loved one or displays his fraud in the theatre during surgery. God bless the lecturer who caught him and tore his script and may God comfort his parents, family and friends.

They'd better start teaching crisis management and emotional intelligence in Nigerian schools o. Girlfriend dumps you-suicide! You fail exam- suicide! You lose your job- suicide! Your salary is delayed- suicide! They bash you online- suicide! Na wetin!?

  16. He was a very weak and senseless young man. Where was he when his mates were reading for the same exam. Abeg this is not mental health. He sabotage himself. If Na me born am a l no go mourn. This is definitely not depression, it is simply about shame. The lecturer gave him another chance, he also had the choice of carrying over the course. My young friend was expelled from medical school, he waited to believe called back for several years . He went Ekpoma to start from prelim, he was in year one microbiology when uniben called him back. He failed one of the courses he sat for and was advised to withdraw. He moved to sciences where he studied medical biochemistry. He got admission in to medical school in 2001 and graduated in 2015. He married in 2015 before defending his project. Prior to medical school he was in pharmacy, he left for medical when he was supposed to be in year 3. I recall begging him to finish the pharmacy, when the pressure was becoming too much, he stopped coming to my house. Now l haven't seen him in two years.

  17. The truth is Education aint for everybody. Some people have learning difficulties dat is no fault of theirs, they may do better in vocations or arts, but no Nigerian parent wants to hear it. They will say village ppl are against dere sons progress. Mental health is also zero here. Sure he was fightn depression before.
    RIP to the dead.

    1. He seemed to be severely depressed and had no one to turn to. This is where family can also play a role. There is a lot of abuse and unfair comparison for children who are not academically bright. Their parents will say does so and so have two heads? So I will waste my money paying school fees this year? And other terrible comments. I don't know about this guy but many pass through this, being called mumu and ode by their parents, being shamed whenever they are home. Please parents try to work with each individual child's strengths and weaknesses. Tankio!

  18. Is it that he didn't even understand what he was cheating enough to download it again when the lecturer gave him a second chance by offering him a new paper?

  19. My brother is in UNn, he said the guy committed suicide cos he has been depressed. He's actually a first class material and didn't carry any expo. Alot of students take their phones to the exam hall and he wasn't using it in the exam hall. Depression is real #Mental health.

  20. May God console his family. Imagine what they will be going through at the moment. Death from accidents or sicknesses is so hard to deal with, not to talk of suicide. Hmmm.
