Rip to him. That was not the decision thou
ReplyDeleteNa wah! School no be by force. if your brain no carry am, why not quite instead of commiting suicide.
ReplyDeleteMental health is now a serious issues. Psychotherapy should be offered to the students. Nigerian schools are stressful on its own. How will the parents feel now
ReplyDelete😔
ReplyDeleteOh my Goodness!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCute guy you shouldn't have taken that route.Rest in peace.
My condolences to his parents and family.
A lot of people are suffering mental ill health. God please save your children
ReplyDeleteOh no
ReplyDeleteOoh Dear Lord!
ReplyDeleteMay his family, love ones and friends be consoled Amen.
A lot of people are going through alot in this country. Who knows the battle the late young man was fighting before this incident. Suicide helps no one.
ReplyDeleteThis is heartbreaking, may his soul rest in peace, amen.
ReplyDeleteWhat’s heartbreaking on this my dear?
DeleteI see this as a stupidity of him.
Congratulations to him. He succeeded at his goal finally. Waste of RIP. My cousin was expelled fter she was caught cheating. She wrote jamb again and started afresh. What's ur excuse? You could have registered for the course next session if u were so sure of an F.
ReplyDeleteIf he was your son hope you will carry this same kind of energy is saying congratulations?
Delete*in
DeleteYour cousin is not that young man. If you lack the ability to empathize as a human, move on, you must not comment. Your cousin pulled through because she was mentally healthy and may have had the support of loved ones. There's no one who isn't suffering from some form of mental illness that will commit suicide. It's unfortunate that we live in a country were people don't have the appropriate psychological and emotional support to develop any coping skills, hence, the resort to suicide when in crisis
DeleteWait until it hits close home.smh just be saying nonsense
DeleteMy heart goes out to his parents. I can't imagine their grief.
ReplyDeleteHe was even given a fresh script ...talk about second chances
ReplyDeleteMay always choose the right path

ReplyDeleteEveryone should learn to develop resilience.
ReplyDeleteLife is not a straight line, it's full of twists and turns.
Whenever, there is a twist turn on your resiliency skills and navigate through.
RIP to the deceased.
So True my dear, resilience should be encouraged.
DeleteFailure is not the END.
Know this and live.
Just see the misery and pains he is/ has inflicted upon the parents.
Absolutely true
DeleteThe more reasons I do tell the younger generations around me that whatever life throws at you embrace it take the positive and move on
No need for suicide Cose it will Cose others you leaving behind more ills.
How's this enough reason to commit suicide? He doesn't have sense at all
ReplyDeleteHe was supposed to read and pass. He didn't. If getting a degree wasn't his path, he could have chosen another. He didn't. He wasn't supposed to cheat. He did. He was supposed to be sent off or arrested. He wasn't. Instead, the lecturer gave him a chance to start over. He wasted it, wasted his life and will now cause his family untold grief. He will not rest in peace no matter how many people type it. A very selfish and entitled child. Tueh!
ReplyDeleteYou may not understand until a doctor who cheated his way through school misdiagnoses your loved one or displays his fraud in the theatre during surgery. God bless the lecturer who caught him and tore his script and may God comfort his parents, family and friends.
They'd better start teaching crisis management and emotional intelligence in Nigerian schools o. Girlfriend dumps you-suicide! You fail exam- suicide! You lose your job- suicide! Your salary is delayed- suicide! They bash you online- suicide! Na wetin!?
Best comment.
DeleteBest comment but may Almighty God have mercy on his soul. Misguided youth.
DeleteChai!
ReplyDeleteHe was a very weak and senseless young man. Where was he when his mates were reading for the same exam. Abeg this is not mental health. He sabotage himself. If Na me born am a l no go mourn. This is definitely not depression, it is simply about shame. The lecturer gave him another chance, he also had the choice of carrying over the course. My young friend was expelled from medical school, he waited to believe called back for several years . He went Ekpoma to start from prelim, he was in year one microbiology when uniben called him back. He failed one of the courses he sat for and was advised to withdraw. He moved to sciences where he studied medical biochemistry. He got admission in to medical school in 2001 and graduated in 2015. He married in 2015 before defending his project. Prior to medical school he was in pharmacy, he left for medical when he was supposed to be in year 3. I recall begging him to finish the pharmacy, when the pressure was becoming too much, he stopped coming to my house. Now l haven't seen him in two years.
ReplyDeleteThe truth is Education aint for everybody. Some people have learning difficulties dat is no fault of theirs, they may do better in vocations or arts, but no Nigerian parent wants to hear it. They will say village ppl are against dere sons progress. Mental health is also zero here. Sure he was fightn depression before.
ReplyDeleteRIP to the dead.
He seemed to be severely depressed and had no one to turn to. This is where family can also play a role. There is a lot of abuse and unfair comparison for children who are not academically bright. Their parents will say does so and so have two heads? So I will waste my money paying school fees this year? And other terrible comments. I don't know about this guy but many pass through this, being called mumu and ode by their parents, being shamed whenever they are home. Please parents try to work with each individual child's strengths and weaknesses. Tankio!
DeleteIs it that he didn't even understand what he was cheating enough to download it again when the lecturer gave him a second chance by offering him a new paper?
ReplyDeleteMy brother is in UNn, he said the guy committed suicide cos he has been depressed. He's actually a first class material and didn't carry any expo. Alot of students take their phones to the exam hall and he wasn't using it in the exam hall. Depression is real #Mental health.
ReplyDeleteIf he wasn’t using the phone to cheat and his a first class material, why didn’t he continue when given another chance ?
DeleteMay God console his family. Imagine what they will be going through at the moment. Death from accidents or sicknesses is so hard to deal with, not to talk of suicide. Hmmm.
