The Adventures Of Oko Ashawo The Uber Driver - 69

What will people not do to catch fun?

In the past two weeks, I have taken passengers from Lagos to Ibadan just to have weekend fun and what i experienced left my mouth hanging..

It later dawned on me that a lot of people have opted for this option because of the curfew in Lagos which is from 12 midnight till 4am,and this has put club and other night activities on hold.

I took 2 young guys in their twenties to Ibadan last week Friday and they told me I’ll be with them till Sunday when they’d return to Lagos. Accommodation was provided for me in a nice hotel and the weekend was indeed fun-filled.

As we were about retiring to our hotel rooms after clubbing activities early Saturday morning, they picked up girls to spend the night with. These guys are very big spenders.

What surprised me was that they told me to pick any girl of my choice as they will pay her bills. I no go lie … It was quite tempting but it took my strong resolve to be celibate for now to resist. The guys looked at me strangely but let it slide.

Later that day, one of their friends joined us and took us somewhere in the outskirts of Ibadan along the expressway that leads to Oyo town. We branched off the road on a very bushy path that was hardly motorable. One of the guys noticed that I was quite edgy but he allayed my fears that everything was  alright.

We got very close to an abandoned looking house and the guys came down to meet an old man that was already waiting for them. They spent a few hours with him and when they were done, I took them back to the hotel in town. They still went out later that night to catch more fun and we eventually left for Lagos on Sunday afternoon.

I actually wonder how far some people are willing to go all in a bid to make money. It was not hard figuring out they went to see the old man for money rituals from their conversations. Do these things really work? How come those that engage in money rituals are not as rich as the people in the league of World Billionaires? The desperation is on another level and the ladies are not left out too. That’s a story for another day.

*Has it occurred to you that they are paying you with the ritual money and that the accommodation you slept in was paid for with the money as well?

The food you ate was also paid for with this money....

Has it also occurred to you that they took something from the Ladies they slept with to give to the old man?

If you want to complain, please make sure you come to equity with clean hands...

  1. There's no tag on the forehead for those who make their money through ritual means.
He did a job and was paid for it. The accommodation and feeding was just extra and there's no way he would've known if he had not taken them to see the baba.
They'll still pay for house rent, electricity bill and buy food. Should the sellers and service providers decline to offer their products and services because of their greed?
The whole blame is on them and no one should be made to feel guilty for another person's sins.
The only thing OA can do is to disassociate himself from them once he finds out.
    I really pity runs girls.

  3. Stella you talk well!
You the driver should choose your clients wisely and not jump on any offer because of the monies you will make. Such monies may eventually mar you!
They not only "took things from the girls to the witch in the bush,"they also took their souls and handed everything over to the devil; that deceiver. They have put an expiration date on their lives. Of course, you can see what such monies are used for; devil worship, just in frivolities.
And a lesson for all the girls that will jump and spread legs at money.

    1. These girls are full of jaz also, don't underrate them.
I lived with one back in school, just 18years fully immersed in jaz by her father and family members, she only carry big fishes.
There was a time we were preparing for exam,I wasn't in the room that day,she slept and had a dream that she died, immediately she woke up some she once worked for as a teacher called to tell her same thing, she called her dad and Alfa, they ask her to return home that same day,she came back with more fire and rebranded her trade.Guy worship her, there was a particular guy who lives abroad then that left 3 ATM card with her and the guy would be begging her on phone when she start yabbing him that he should let her be.

    2. Felicity u gerrit. Some of these girls are into some occult things too. Someone was to waybill something to his 'friend' abroad who is female. The box spilled so I tried to help him pick stuffs and put back. The things I saw inside enn. A lot of girls know the guys are into diff stuff so they fortify themselves too. It becomes a tussle of who has the upper hand .

  4. I see things differently. The cab man was actually paid for his services. He can't really start questioning every passenger who uses his service for their sources of income.

Even in church sef, can a Pastor really question the source of offerings and tithes? The exception I'll give in this case is where the individual is known to suddenly have a new source of questionable wealth and the Pastor turns a blind eye

Same way I can't question someone who comes to my shop to buy designer wears or some expensive stuff and question how source of income.

At the end of the day, it behooves on Oko Ashawo to continue to serve those clients since he has found out their source of wealth.

    My 2 cents#

    1. Exactly! How many vendors question their customers the source of their income.

Just like your last sentence since he now knows, he can choose not to render his services to those particular guys. Nice write up as always Oko Ashawo

    1. Gbam!

If you go by Stella's submission, nobody will work in a conglomerate.
Most members of the board of directors are full blown occultic men and women.

We take the salary head to Church and fortify ourselves at the altar of God.

Anyi aga ejizi maka mgbagbu yali ogu?
So, because someone may die at the battlefield,we would not face a war? Naaaaa.

    2. Exactly. Atimes when we collect the salary, problems will just be unfolding till it finishes.

  6. Stella, he worked for it, and very deserving of the money. So he has to be asking all his client what they do, before carrying them? Hunger go kill him be that na

  7. Everyone saying he worked for his wages, he did this, he did that.. what if the bush meat now caught the hunter? Has it occurred to any of you that Oko Ashawo could have also been used eventually for a ritual too?.. Driving through a dangerous, suspiciously ‘unmotorable’ area would have been his first cue to japa! Hazards of a trade does not translate to being sharp in this obodo Nigeria!

    1. You've spoken well. However, what could be really do in that moment when he was taken to the bush road?

    2. Haven't you heard where the innocent has been caught in the web of ritualists. Will you also apportion blame where it's not due?

    4. I believe Oko Ashawo is not so dumb not to have his escape plan. For him to be jittery simply means that he must have thought about a way of escape if things had gone South.

However, we need to know the level of risks we expose ourselves to and know what to do if we find ourselves in dire situations

  9. Stellz, oko ashi won't share from their karma in this case. He's only doing his legitimate job, it would be a different case were he joins them to deceive a girl they want to pick up or if he actually was the one that recommended the herbalist to then.

Here, his hand his clean and the the money his a clean one for him, albeit dirty in the hands of the evil doers..

Where's that girl I straighten out this morning about money not buying happiness, it's her type that fall for these kind of boy because of laziness and greed. Be guided
