Several prominent Nigerians on Thursday honoured late High Chief Olu Benson Lulu-Briggs with their presence at a Service of Songs/Tributes Nite at the EUI Centre Monaco, off Sani Abacha road, Port Harcourt.
Those present included former Governor of Rivers State, Sir (Dr) Peter Odili; former Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Timi Alaibe; former Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke, SAN; Senator Magnus Abe, former
Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President, Onueze Okocha; Managing Director of Heritage Bank, Ifie Sekibo; Dr. Etim Okon, Chairman of Cross River State Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Leslie Eke, Eze Gbakagbaka of Evo kingdom; Damian Dodo, SAN; King Joshua Igbaguru, pioneer chairman of Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council; clergy, amongst others.
It was an evening of solemn tunes, praise and worship, tributes, and testaments in honour of a great man who rose through the challenges of life to become a success in almost everything his hands touched.
The irrepressible and effervescent gospel Musician Mercy Chinwo took praise worship to a new height as she sonorously held the audience spellbound in a blaze of glory and fitting for such a platform that sought to honour a man who God used to bless humanity.

Deletehis son is a most unpleasant man and did a hatchet job on his step-mother. I am not sure she even attended her husbands funeral with everything that was done to her. If you reach out to people around the step-mum they might speak to you in confidence and as for the step-son Dumo everybody knows his story. He is the boyfriend of Akpabio’s slapper - Joi Nunieh. Anyway this is what I had typed This foolish man that insisted on collecting his share of his fathers inheritance when his father father was alive, he has squandered it all and now wants to break his fathers will to get a new share. After trashing his step-mother’s name and dragging her through the mud, now he wants to make peace? on seeing the will even before his father was buried, when he found he really did not leave him a share of the remaining inheritance, he now told everyone it was his step-mother that insisted on reading the will before her husband was buried and that she killed his dad. He swore there would be no burial unless everything his father owned was handed over to him and his fathers body given to him, and that is exactly what he did. His stepmother even offered to split her share with him 50/50 but he refused because he wanted all! This joke of a man has bribed so many chiefs to his side, it is a disgrace what they enabled him do to his step-mother’s reputation. He broke his fathers heart when he took him to court trying to force him to handovee his company to him before he finally settled out of court by collecting his inheritance with his dad alive, but look at the fool, he has squandered it all and wants more. Rivers state had a lucky escape not voting him in as governor. His only son is from before he got married and I pray his son treats him the way he treated his father, but I don’t wish his son to grow up into a fool like him! Look at how he treats his own wife. He has been flaunting his mistress who is yesrs older than him around town for years and his wife has quietly relocated to the UK. Marriage to men like him is a joke/smoke screen. He is simply a clown who has leveraged himself with his fathers influence /name to achieve what he does not deserve. He is not even the first son but in typical dumo fashion, he has usirped his older brothers position to become head of the family. He should enjoy it all for now because when karma catches up with him he will weep. The gods are sharpening the knives the intend to use on him but he is laughing away merrily as if the whole of eternity is his. I pity his daughters and his wife.

I have one as a brother too, never took care of my late mum even till her death in the hospital and he was ready to dictate when to bury her expecting us to leave my mum at the Morg for a while. We quickly buried my mum within 2 weeks because she never wanted to be put there for long.

In Nigeria it seems the latest fad is that if you are with a man or living with him you can call yourself his wife. I am talking about without paying a visit to your family to do introduction, just live with a man and then you start claiming wife. ReplyDeleteactually, you either know zilch yourself or you are a Dumo supporter. There are court records to prove he took his father to court to try and takeover his companies. When that failed, his heartbroken father agreed to his demands to give him his share of his inheritance and we are talking millions of dollars not naira!!! Anyway, what do you expect from a son who can do that to his father, he would obviously do worse to his stepmother. Abeg, thank God for my family, not monsters like this Dumo.
