The Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2021, holds today Friday January 15th to commemorate the servicemen of the Nigerian Armed Forces and commend the sacrifices of our fallen heroes and veterans of the First and Second World Wars, the Nigerian Civil War and Peace Support Operations around the world.

I lost 5 young uncles forcefully recruited to the civil war. My grandmother told us of how her last boy of 10 was snatched from her hands while my grandfather was away if not they would kill my grandfather before taking the boy as my grandpapa na and kporo nku. Grannies continue to rest in Peace. War is horrible from the tales told.
