Because they were conceive same day and the most important thing is the placental the time the placental comes out that is the date and time of their birth.
Yeah..they are twins and as well agemates. Their birth certificates will only bear different year and they can choose to celebrate their birthdays together or a day interval.

They will celebrate their birthday in January because it is when the last child comes out, the placenta follows. And if the placenta never come out, no congratulations will follow.
It is when the placenta is out, that's when congratulations on the birth of a child follows and the time and date will be documented.
