Upon boarding the vessel, it was discovered that they were laden with crude oil; and it was also observed that the Automatic Identification System (AIS) of the vessel was switched off.
They have been handed over to the authorities for further investigation and prosecution. It is worthy of note to mention that this arrest was made possible by the cooperation of the locals in Gbokoda Community, who have been working closely with the intelligence unit of the Navy, to combat this unscrupulous elements stealing the nations resource.
Na wa!! The effrontery these people have to enter another man's country and want to exploit people's resources without going through the whole 9 yards!..Good he was caught!!
