    1. I've been told I have to pay 45 thousand naira at the airport. Is that for a test? I already did my pcr test and got my result and certificate yesterday. My flight is tomorrow.

    1. Renew your Nigerian passport or apply for a visa with your second passport.

    2. I think they do visa on arrival. Just come in with your US kpali, (Don#t shw your naija kpali) pay for the visa on arriavl and then later go and renew your naija passport.
It's a crime to enter with an expired passport and they will extort you, except you are willing to pay up.
But with VISA on arrival, you are safer...If you ahve also done the vocid vaccination, all good as well.

    3. Why not apply for visa instead. I renewed my Nigeria passport last week and I must say that for the first time in my entire life I commend the staff at the High Commission in the UK cos they were very organised (especially the lady on the first floor in the waiting room) . I got there 9am and by 11:15am I was out of the place.
Even though I had to pay to get a nos ooo, I applied since July but didn't get a date.
I sincerely hate going to Nigeria High Commission, we were in the cold on a long line with people not observing social distancing even though they had masks on.

    5. Yes you can. As a Nigerian citizen, you don't need a visa to enter your country. All you need is an ID to identify that you are a Nigerian. It's no problem at all. It happened to me and I was not stressed at the airport. You will show them your US passport and the expired Naija own. Don't panic. It's not a problem at all.

    6. ROCKSTAR it's not a crime. I habe dual citizenship. My Naija passport expired so when I got to the Airport, I told them I was in Naija to renew my passport. Don't forget that passport are tied to NIMC number no. You can only register and get that number in Nigeria as a citizen. And they know at the airport. So he should explain to them but am sure they won't ask. You don't need a visa to enter your country as a citizen. He holds a dual passport. I am writing from my own experience. Thank you

  4. Personally do not think there's anything they can do if you report it. Once you report, made up charges will be flying up and down and you won't be believed. The thief has stolen so much in Nigeria that the owner does not notice or care again.

  5. Even if they send in their emails with evidence, nothing will still happen. Corruption has eaten deep into the system.

  6. WHEN IT'S SAME THIEVES ARE HANDLING THE MAIL.

  7. I arrived 9ja this week and the officials at the airport were so respectful, no one asked me for money. It was just the usual greeting, no outright "aunty, find something for us nau". Even customs did not check my bag like they do sometimes when you walk out the door to exit the airport. I am not sure if the airline that brought us in or my class of flight played a role, or my 'stank' face scares people or they just thought my husband and I were too young. I had a positive experience and I am surprised they are demanding money from some people or threatening to seize their passport.
