Let me however assure you that some people have the very opposite experience where vows were kept to, loyalty and integrity were the watch words and friendship and oneness were the result. Products of such families would not see anything wrong with Amara reaching out to her husband's colleague for her son who happens to be a fan.
DeleteWe all have different histories. We are different people and would see things differently. Many times with couples, one is stronger in one area than the other. Amara may be the one in charge of childcare especially as regards anything like surgery and would be at the forefront with things like this. Her son is also an innocent teen-ager who is star struck by one of his heroes- even if his dad has done a million of the same surgeries, it would not be like his hero reaching out to him with encouragement. Kanu may be too scared to even be involved in anything surgery especially from his own experience so he may have just shut down and let his wife handle the whole thing. The poor wife may have even been planning a surprise for her son that would serve as encouragement for the husband that their son is recovering speedily.
This cheating that is reported daily on the internet is not the reality of many marriages. Some people are actually sharing their lives with their friends, not just a person who has to keep to certain rules or those who break all the rules.

To be falsely accused can be really frustrating. Someone swore that he caught me in the act with a guy and we where just sitting innocently and having a conversation. ReplyDeleteSome of you had something to say on my last post so i will try and be less dramatic and address your comments.
Beds and Roses, its best you do not comment under anyone's post especially when you are highly strung and emotional. Maybe you can relate to this story but this is not about you. No matter how you can relate to a story, do your best to understand their are dynamics in every similar story. I return the prayer that you actually heal from every internalized trauma.

DeleteHow did she try to tarnish her image. Most of you are too emotive, in the process you become senseles. Why is it so difficult to understand the fact that all of us can not same views about any specific issue. You guys go mad because a few dare to have different views from that of the majority. God in His infinite kindness gave us freedom at the point of creation, associated with that freedom is the burden of choice. A group of silly adults who insult others because of their views. Nobody made it obligatory for to read the comments of others. But if you chose to read, walk away after reading.

ReplyDeleteI agree with both of you. It is not proper to slide into your husband's friends DM and vice versa.
Your hubby can as well do that himself and get whatever information he wants from his close pals.
I do not understand the morality behind all these comments I am reading here.
As for me, I will go through my husband if i need to speak to his friend.
That is the right thing to do.

Nigerian women and their warped idea of marriage weak person I swear. This is why they still have to wait for husband’s express permission to do some surgeries on a wife even when she is fully conscious and has given informed consent.
God forbid that I be with a man whose friends I cannot talk to freely concerning pressing matters whether via DM or in person.
Also did it occur to you that Amara might be the parent who is more actively involved in the medical care of the child and as such might be the best person (if they had to pick one) to have medical discussions concerning it.
