DeleteI just want an honest man. The one I'm with now has started lying. Not even for cheating's sake but to impress me unnecessarily. Now he's complaining I've changed. I HATE LIES. No, I don't lie to him.
ReplyDeleteSorry.. some people don't understand how much damaged lies does.. once I catch you in a lie, I begin to doubt everything you have ever told me. It's a deal breaker. Trust is one of the foundation of a good relationship, with lies, there'll be no trust. The relationship is null and void.
DeleteFor me, treat me the way I treat you., or expect to be treated how you treat me if after sometimes you refuse to follow my lead..
Thanks Dante! I don't get why men fear to be vulnerable to women they claim to love. He just dey avoid see finish ni I know. But for me, any form of deception, lies, misrepresentation, manipulation, mind games, half truths, withholding of information, white lies, outright lies, errors of omission etc makes me lose trust in you. I've told him severally, I have no problems dating a bad man as long as he owns it. I personally tell him things as they are even when not convenient or seemingly profitless or potentially destructive. But I was hoping to build his trust. And I've proved this sometimes in the past by forgiving him where he owned up. He actually held me to my words and I fell through. What else does he want? Unfortunately, he doesn't know that I know he lies. He believes he's so smart about it and his lies are foolproof. Cos that's the condition I gave him. If you must lie, make sure I can't discover. These are just some useless lies he lies that makes me question his overall sincerity. He's a very good man in order aspects. He doesn't cheat. He tries to satisfy me by taking to my corrections. It's the beginning of the end for me. It hurts, but there's no other way around it for me. I'm trying to accept him the way he is because of the other good qualities about him. But what if I'm in for a shocker in the long run?! I doubt if I'll ever recover from it. I'll be so done with men. Maybe this is why humans are beginning to have relationships with objects for stability and predictability, Lol!
DeleteMy ideal relationship is my marriage before my husband cheated...after the cheating...i havent been the same again....he is trying so hard to get things to be the way they used to but its just not possible...anymore...sad.
ReplyDeleteForgive him. Most men cheat. Even pastors. Encourage him to be more open with you. Don't judge him. Try not to. That way, he'll be more conscientious about cheating again. Take precautions though. If you must use condoms till he proves himself again, do.
DeleteAn ideal relationship should exhibit the fruits of the spirit. I just realized 3days ago one important trait you should have is kindness.
ReplyDeleteRide or die kinda relationship
ReplyDeleteSo apt π
DeleteA relationship with mutual respect. Just don't stress me. Provide for the family, don't get me regret loving you
ReplyDeleteI start with what I don't want. Flaws I can manage cos we are all flawed, but these red flags, I run. My list..
ReplyDelete1.Physical or emotional abuse
2.Anger or hot temper
3.Womanizer/uncontrollable lust
4.Wickedness/joylessness/frustrated soul
5.Laziness ()
6.Disregards or disrespects me or others
7.Alcoholism, smoking or drugs
8.Bad communication (doesn't call)
9.Mouth or body odor
10.Liar/lies/dishonesty
Funny enough I don't have a list for my ideal man. I Just want balance: you love me, I love you, and we have respect/regard for family, for God and for neighbor. Just have sense.
We are the same whatsapp group
DeleteA godly relationship in the true sense of the word. I value my peace and a relationship with mutual respect.
ReplyDeleteMy Ideal relationship is one which has
ReplyDelete*Friendship
*Trust
*Affection
*Teamwork
*Honesty
*Playfulness
*Unconditional love
**She must have transport money always
*Advantage: She can come anytime
*Disadvantage: She can come anytime.
Hmmmmm.,I can't type what is on my mind but if everyone can stay true to who they really are and their choices are respected.,that would be a great start for an ideal relationship..
