The yuletide season is usually a very busy one for Uber drivers and we earn lots of money at this period........

I was still working on Tuesday when I received a call from Tinu, a girl I met a few months ago. I gave her a lift on my way home and we exchanged contacts thereafter. We chatted from time to time and we hung out for lunch twice. Though I wanted to start a relationship with her but she played hard to get so I let her be. 

She told me she was bored and didn’t mind if I visited her at home since her roommate has travelled for Christmas. Hmmmm… Wetin dey occur? I immediately put on my thinking cap, wondering about the sudden interest. I had chased this girl all these while and she told me she had no interest in me and I was not her spec. 
 I also wondered why she had to tell me her roommate was not around. What does she want? Could it be what I am thinking? 

Meanwhile, I had already lost interest in Tinu and my eyes are on someone else but I decided to play along. I promised her I would visit at night after work and she told me to get her a special Christmas gift. 

I decided to close early that day and rushed home to rest a bit and freshen up. I got home around 7pm and I called that I would be at her place before 9pm. She told me she was very lonely and didn’t want to sleep alone that night. More so, she said that if I was not comfortable with her place, I could take her to mine or we go to a hotel nearby. At this time, I was already excited and many crazy thoughts ran through my mind. 

I checked my phone and the battery was at 12%. There was no light so I put on the generator to charge my phone while I lay down. 

My people, the next time my eyes opened was past 12 midnight and when I checked my phone, there were over 10 missed calls from Tinu with messages on WhatsApp. It was then it dawned on me the generator sound prevented me from hearing my phone ring. Moreover, I didn’t know I was that tired hence I slept so deeply. Worse still, the Estate gates were already shut at that time so no more going out that night. 


Now, Tinu has blocked me and is not taking my calls anymore. When I went to her place the next morning, I didn’t meet her at home. Will she still give me another chance so?
