When people share good news and you can't relate don't call them a liar or try to look for loopholes that doesn't exist in their story or try to silenc them simply because that good thing has not happened for you yet. I am so grateful to God that I came to the blog well prepared. She tried instigating peoples hatred on me but it turned out in my favour. I have a friend that I wrote something about when her second child from a different man had liver issues and eventually died at LUTH despite all a friend I discussed the issue with did and spent to make the baby live.
After the death, I explained to this my friend that her situation (giving birth for lowlifes) is like this because of the poverty in her life and that I was certain if she was a bit more comfortable and had a place of her own, she would start amending her ways.
This man gave us money which we used to rent a room and parlour self con for her and even gave her a little money to start up a little business.
After I traveled, I ordered a small not too expensive Android phone for her (she has never used an Android phone in her over 30 years of life). I am highlighting all of these so you see how we tried to help straighten up her life.
After we rented that apartment, I warned her seriously about the ‘akushes (never do well) she follows that will knock her up and leave all responsibilities to her. She promised me she had learnt her lesson.
I thought all was good oh. Today is her birthday and she posted a bunch of pictures with one of her with a little girl of a few months old. I actually thought it must be someone else’s child.
Then my amebo eke is my hobby friend chatted me up on WhatsApp asking me if I knew our other friend has another child.
I told her if it was about the girl on her Facebook, she was probably not hers. This girl told me she asked her directly and she told her she was her daughter. I said she was probably pulling her legs. Only for me to go back to Facebook and see her comments asking about the girl like she was her child.
I inboxed her and asked her and as I was typing this message, her reply came in and it is a yes! I am speechless. She was pregnant at my wedding and never told me. We have communicated off and on since I left and she never said she had a child.
Why do people like complicating things for themselves ehn. I can’t count how many times I decided to wash my hands off her but I keep going back just cos I want her life on track!!!!!!
At this point, I am done!!!! Heaven knows I did my best for her more than any friend would have ever done.
