Our Kind and Glory Power World Conference started yesterday and I thought to share some of the points I noted.
ReplyDelete*One function of prayer is that it expresses your helplessness to God. Not praying could be an indication that you are good to go and are able to help yourself.
* When in the midst of your problems you choose instead to sing, praise and appreciate God for what He had done in the past and still about to do,it moves Him to action. Imagine you have two children,one is always thanking you for just any and everything and fond appreciating and admiring your looks while the other is always making demands upon demands,who would you be quick to help the most?
*When couples agree on a matter and pray together,things happen speedily
As a husband,your prayer fire and fervency will determine the fire and fervency your family will follow suit. No matter how tasking and tedious it may seem,try to teach your children from little to pray together (family devotion etc)
*Couples should learn to appreciate themselves. As a wife,feeding,rent, fees etc,these are actually your husband's duty but do you know how he will feel when you take out time to lovingly appreciate and thank him for the effort he has been putting. Do not fake it. The feeling he will have knowing that he is appreciated is big time for him.

There's a lady here that goes by the moniker Sapio_Jules. Besides Martins, there's hardly anybody here that is as productive as she is. I see the way she comes in handy with help to people's questions. And she does this with the utmost humility. She knows her onions. She took out time to pen down steps to take to shed weight. One miserable and eternally indolent idiot up there had to weigh her down by saying it was copied! Jules calmly asked the dunderhead to point out where it was copied from. No response. She was hurt and had to ask twice. The fool refused to tell us where it was copied from. Have you ever taken the time to write an article in your life? Do you know what it entails? If your dead mind cannot come up with something worthwhile, why not shut the pissoir you call a mouth and learn instead of allowing bargain-basement jealousy overwhelm you? I was hurt because the Jules lady was obviously hurt. And nobody came in her support. Such situations can demoralise people. She gave out tips that will help everybody. She took out time to make a research.
Some even said she should stop making it long! Dear Lord! Any country that does not read can only be a zoo. If it was the manufactured chats often posted here, where one person chats and answers at same time, you'd take time to read it even if it was 100 pages. Please stop discouraging people that add value. There are very few people like her here. Aren't you all tired of the despondency-inspiring "hello my yard people" or "I made it to SP" shit?
Dear Sapio_Jules, I want you to know I value your contributions. I always read whatever it is you post because you always add value. Please, do not make it short next time. Write as much as you want. If nobody reads and learns, I will always do.

ReplyDeleteThe first thing is, what you are fasting for....is it for a particular personal issue or are you doing it for someone/people?
List your prayer points, look for scriptures relating to the points...remember Psalm 138:2. Youknow it’s important to use the word in prayers.
Set the time to pray in a quiet place. For me, if I’m working I use my lunch breaks. I either go out of the office or stay inside the office toilet....lol
If you can pray in tongues, try to do it as much as possible. It gives you strength to go on and you know that you are speaking mysteries to the God who understands all things.
Be flexible, the first day may be challenging so if you feel weak, take a sip or two of water and PRAY!.....lol
Set time to break it, pray at this time als and give thanks
Break at either 4 or 6pm with juice, fruits, smoothies or Akamu with some milk. Pace your eating, don’t pile on food. You’ll feel thirsty after breaking the fast so drink water
