Nigerian Player Reportedly Slumps And Dies During Friendly Match..

Oh Dear!!!




Usman Yusuf; who was with Crown Football Club of Oyo State, , has slumped and died during a friendly match in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

He featured in the first half in a friendly for Gateway United FC against Sliema Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.

He was resuscitated by medics after he slumped and later taken to the State Hospital, Ijaye where he passed on.

The Media officer of the Gateway FC, Moses Ojewumi, confirmed the incident on Monday in Abeokuta.

  3. This happened as a result of carelessness.
    Such would have happened in port harcourt township stadium if not for the vast and quick intervention of the fans in the stadium.

    A player slumped while on a pre season tournament and the medics department felt it was just a normal fall.
    Thank God the fans were ontop of their voices before they could quickly rush him to BMH cause it was close by.

    Nigeria and their lacadelic ways of handling issues.
