I will not be doing a Santa post.....this brings too many scammers this way and gives too many people Ideas on how to fall into wanting to scam others......

We already have a BV in london send 40k into the Santa post......If you are interested in helping anyone in particular or giving out foodstuff or cash or general giveaway in these hard times,please contact me......

The idea is to help as many people as we can have food on their table during the festive period..

Nobody owes you anything so don't come here forming entitlement mentality....

  CHRONICLES OF MELODY THE RUNS-GEH

After I gave my life to Christ Jesus, I decided I would join a service unit in the church, I joined the sanctuary keepers, I would wake up in the morning, after my morning chores in the house, I would rush down to the church and clean up the church after the covenant hour of Prayers.....

 One day after the Sunday service the pastor called me into his office and we had a serious conversation, after the conversation, he asked me how I would want the church to assist me, I said that all I needed was for them to follow me to my house and beg my parents, then the church was preparing for the yearly meeting (Shiloh)::...... 

The pastor promised me that after the Shiloh, that we would visit my parents and immediately after the Shiloh, they followed me home to see my parents and my parents were crying like babies, I saw the pain I left in their eyes, I saw their disappointments....

my Mom was broken, she least expected it from me, I kept begging, I knelt down and was pleading, the pastor, his wife and 2 other elders that came home with us, we begged till they agreed, they called in my whole siblings, I begged them too, it was a big family reunion....

Immediately the light of God entered my family, suitors started coming for my two sisters at once, hmmmm I later got a teaching job at the church's school and that was where I met "HIM"...

TEEJAYS CORNER

Those days as a young school boy, the national anthem was a thing of delight to us as we echoed those words in all seriousness, sincerity and meant every bit of it from the depth of our heart. The lyrics are strongly worded showing how patriotically of a people we were and meant to be. You dare not walk around when the anthem is being sang. This was the respect we had as a people those days for our nation. I don't know if that is still the case today.

Few days ago, I decided to go through those wordings again that formed the national anthem after a very long time. At the very last sentence that reads, "One Nation bound in freedom, peace and unity." I became so emotional. I was lost in deep thought as I began to picture the Nigerian state. So many wrongs in the country today and I asked, at what point did we got it wrong? So many questions beckon for an answers and may truly never be answered. 

Where is the Nigerian unity? Have we ever be united as a people? Is the national anthem a deception of whom we are? Why has peace elude us? There's no peace as we are being threatened by wave of insurgency, banditry and kidnapping. Our roads are no longer safe for traveling. We live in constant fear and mercy of this daredevil.

So many unresolved issues about the Nigerian state hovers around us that need to be addressed. You don't claim to have moved on whereas you never did in the right sense of it. Unresolved issues always have a way of haunting us by becoming a reoccurring event. 

How can we be proud of the country we found ourselves where nepotism reign supreme? Can we still pledge our faithfulness and loyalty to a country that massacred her own citizens holding her flag, a symbol of its sovereignty, singing her anthem? Bad enough, doing everything humanly possible to suppress it and arrest voice of dissent?

How do we serve our father's land with strength and might in the midst of abject poverty, starvation, unemployment, business strangulation, academical frustration and finally military/police brutality?

Oh Nigeria! How the mighty has fallen. The once pride of Africa swiftly drifting into becoming a failed state.
