Strictly date people living in a country that has sense. Make sure they have papers and are responsible. If they are citizens, the better for you. Now let me tell you something my people, there are so many Nigerians doing well abroad- with papers, who earnestly need to get married to their fellow Nigerians. But the problem is they keep meeting people without sense, or people who will become liabilities to them. You can afford to shoulder a liability in the zoo, but not in a system that works. Every adult must bring something to the table. This is to say that you should have your own money before going this route. If the person on the other side is certain you dey bam on your own, they'll be more relaxed. Make sure you have sense too. This is very important. We've been harping on self development here and most people have been taking it for a ride. The world has gone very far. Nigeria is 50 years behind. You need to constantly update yourself if you're in the zoo. Whoever is dating you must be certain you meet certain standards. I believe you have your own standards too.
You also have to know that it isn't something that will happen within a short space of time. Give it a little time. Don't seem desperate. It should be your normal dating thing. Don't also allow anybody feel they're doing you a favour. Don't take shit from the start. And don't give shit too. If you know you have a horrible character, please find someone like you in Nigeria and be with them.
Stella I'll suggest you create a special platform to bring people of like minds together. Hook up our abroad people doing well with the ones here who are doing well too. You can even help in vetting both parties and charge them for it. Let's take as much people as we can out of the zoo.

Same thing happened to me but it was her introduction. We were roommates, just the 2 of us and I didn't even know she was dating not to talk of planning wedding. She just woke up and said her intro is on Saturday. I and some of our friends finished her ehnnn. We told her we won't attend and we didn't. She eventually pleaded when she realised she couldn't plan all the wedding arrangements on her own and besides she needed us as bridesmaids.
