A team of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police allegedly killed a young man on Saturday in front of Wetland Hotel, Ughelli in Delta State.
They shot the citizen and left the scene speeding off in the victim’s vehicle – a white Lexus SUV.
SARS is a dreaded Police unit that has repeatedly harassed and killed Nigerians.
In most cases, the culprits are never arrested or prosecuted.
Their activities have triggered protested off and on social media (#EndSARS), with many Nigerians clamouring for a scrap of the department.

Next thing they asked him was what he does for a living, which he told them "I am security man at so so hotel here in festac. Before he knew what was happening they had picked some other persons along side with him and took them to their station. On getting to the station they moved them to the back of their station where some People where(upto 50 persons). Next thing they asked them to start bailing them selves with the sum of hundred thousand naira each via transfer transaction. this bailing was done after detaining them for like four hours.when it got to my brother friend turn to pay he told them that he can't afford such amount, that they should check his account that he has only fifty something thousand in it,as he works as a security guard in an hotel. DeleteBut why can't the government end SARS? I'm so vexed that my outburst and choice of words towards them may be unpleasant. This has gotten out of hand. For how long are we going to continue like this?
ReplyDeleteThey are another arm of terrorists, the dept should be scrapped already
ReplyDeleteWhat more do we need to say that haven't been said before? I want to ask, is there SARS in the northern part of Nigeria? or they are only made for the Southerners. I haven't heard or read that SARS disturbs or kills a northerner. I don't think we have SARS operations in the north.
ReplyDeleteThey should try it in the north and see what will happen to them. Very useless country. I wept watching that video.
SARS is a terrorist group

ReplyDeleteEnlighten me, what’s the function of SARS in Nigeria?
SARS... I remember travelling to the east and one was bold enough to say we must give her money, that she has to do account for Oga. It was such a horrible experience. They killed him just to take his car, car oo, ordinary car.
ReplyDeleteNothing o, except if the see a successful young man driving big car, they get jealous of him and...
ReplyDeleteBunch of uneducated fools.
ReplyDeleteChaii. Not again 🤦
ReplyDeleteOne of them is now wondering why I declined his marriage proposal. Emi khe?! Mo ya japa!
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised cos a woman in our group shared one horrible story like three to four years ago. How the police officers saw an Okada man in the night & pushed him into a gutter & took his bike. Any the gutters are dip. We were going on a program in a Agbara from Lagos by arround 10pm. So they were going to Agbara the day she saw the policemen in that their van.
ReplyDeleteThe most Complex B
You are paid to protect me yet u Rob me, rape me, and kill me
ReplyDeleteO Nigeria when will we stop weeping. When will our leaders have ears and banish this devil's. When!! When!!!
