Rivers State Gov. Wike Pledges N20m To Families Of Killed Policemen And Soldiers Killed By IPOB Members

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has pledged the sum of 20 million naira to families of security agents who lost their lives in the recent attack by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

During a solidarity visit to the Rivers State Police Command at Moscow road, in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday, Governor Wike said the Rivers State government will take up the reconstruction of all the Police facilities that were attacked by the hoodlums.

Suspected members of the proscribed group in attacks last week Wednesday KILLED two police officers and they razed the Police Area Command, Obigbo, Afam Divisional Police Office and a court, all in Oyigbo Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers.

Attacks on other security formations were also reported across the oil-rich Niger-Delta state.

    1. Stella please oo, What's the meaning of that emoji up there?? You believe the lies or you are excited about it because i don't understand. Anyway, People can choose to twist the truth how they like but it still will not change the fact that the world including the lieing government know what they did and have continued to do.
By the way, What about the innocent citizens the soldiers, Police and the fulani herdsmen killed, Has he compensated the families of the unfortunate victims or he's just only focused on Ipob members that does not care about his existence?? Wike get your acts together and stop being an ass wipe.

    2. Don't mind the mugu. The young man he placed 50million bounty on his head saying he is the leader of IPOB that carried the said act has been exonerated by Rivers State indigenes to be innocent and faulted him on that arrant rubbish he broadcasted.

    3. Teejay, the governor receives security reports on daily basis from almost four security agencies, the CID, the DSS, the DMI , Customs and Immigration. He knows better than you.

Better watch your utterances and don't be a terrorist sympathizer. Some bvs here are snooping for the intelligence agencies, may our keypads not implicate us.

    5. BlackBerry, you didn't read my comment very well. I said, Rivers Youths that matched to government house exonerated the young man Wike placed bounty on his head to be innocent of the crimes he's being accused of. I never said Rivers Indigene supported IPOB or Biafra in my comment above. Go back and read again.

  2. And u guys believe him? Such a shame. Ordinary palliative, this Wike hid at Bori Camp and was telling his ppl to buy a bag of gari wit sugar to be soaking wit their families.
Our leaders are the devil's themselves, never believe any pin u hear from their mouth. It's like the cries and blood of the ppl gives them strength and joy.
See the ppl we elected to build roads, schools, hospitals etc hiding common food from their hungry ppl. Very demonic sets of human being.

    1. My dear I taya 😢. To think that these governors chased people inside during the pandemic and told them not to come outside (lock down) yet did not give them anything to eat. Not even 10 thousand Naira each family. Yet palliatives were given oh and they locked it up in warehouses. In America here we were given $1200 to every adult and $500 to each child in your house hold, so if you have 3 children with your husband you got like $3900 almost $4000. And they are planning a second round. But my home country left their own citizens hungry and still locked them down without work nor business. Nigeria!!!! These governors have no shame.

    2. Hmn. Is this a verified fact or social media drivel as usual? Palliatives hidden at Bori camp? Smh.

    3. @Eliza....every one in PH knows where the palliatives are kept. Just that u can't go to the camp to get it. Very wicked leaders. Enugu govnor is the worst, he'd rather kill ppl than allow them get near the palliatives. But they will soon be exposed IJN.

  5. STELLA! STELLA!! STELLA!!!How many times did I call you? STELLA you know in all honesty that this is pure propaganda and that IPOB is NOT violent in any way. I thought you have stopped posting anything IPOB on your blog. We are monitoring you and will not hesitate to do justice to you. Is IPOB the problem of Nigeria? Are they (IPOB) the fulani herdsmen who have been killing people? Are they Boko Haram and all the internationally recognised terrorists groups in Nigeria? STELLA you live in a civilised country yet you haven't seen that this Fulani government has evil agenda and does not mean well for the people. I don't want to insult you even though I know you have so much hatred for Biafra,IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu. Would there be any agitation if Nigeria was good? If you don't stop supporting evil then IPOB won't hesitate to give it back to you no matter where you are. Be warned!! You can read and delete my post.

    1. Given that the suspected leader of IPOB in that state, Stanley Mgbere has identified himself as an indigene of Onne, Rivers State, it would have been wrong for Wike to point to Igbo with respect to the activities of IPOB in Rivers State . Wike made that mistake in a previous statement and has now realised and corrected his mistake after Stanley Mgbere came out to identify himself. That should be commended.

A mere look at the lists of IPOB members released from detention in Port Harcourt not long ago shows that the suspected members are Igbo, Ikwerre, Annang Efik, Ijaw, etc. The predominance of Igbos in that list is simply a reflection of the demographics in the region.

IPOB is not an ethnic issue. There is no evidence to suggest that majority of Igbos identify with or share the ideologies of that organisation. So it would be wrong to give it an ethnic tag.

Nigeria is a gravely misruled country and in that situation there is always going to be youth restiveness. Many of them may escape and go to Malaysia, India or elsewhere, those that are not so lucky will stay and join IPOB or other protests such as #ENDSARS and #ODUDUWA and others have shown. It has nothing to do with ethnicity. There is anger everywhere.

  6. Wike is like the presidents of the black Bantustan states during the apartheid regime in South Africa in such states as:Traskei, Ceskei, Venda, Boputhuswana and others. They killed more liberation fighters more than white South Africans just to please the apartheid and secure their positions . The one in Ceskei was also related to Mandela but was doing everything to create a wedge between the the blacks and divide them as Traskei and Ceskei. That is Wike and many others today. Funny enough, some black people who claim to be lawyers and educated like Wike cannot even grasp the meaning of human rights with regards to the inalienable right to self-determination. If not, how can he, and people like Anniko Briggs and others be shouting about Rivers, Niger-Delta, Cannal-Delta, Ocean states, domination, colonization while they are busy dominanting and imposing an abstract identity on other people such as Egbema, Omuma, Obigbo, Ndoni and others? This is what unravels the imbeded domineering attributes of many people in Nigeria and that is why I detest them. They are comfortable in fusing themselves into the oppressive Nigeria Fulani state to appropriate Igbo land, subjugate Igbos, steal their resources under the guise of one funny appellation while they will be shouting resources control. Why can't Ijaw, Ikwere, Ogoni, Ibibios, Efik and others who are fond of crying against oppression determine their own identity and also allow others to do the same. But in Nigeria, people like Wike will be happy to determine what Ikweres should be, but turn around to behave like Hitler by determining what the people of Obigbo, Egbema, Omuma, Ukwa, and others should be simply because Gowon and Maman Nasir gerrymandered them like mere objects and chattels slaves. But he will fail woefully because the world have changed and the era of mini-slave masters and dealers like Wike who are serving as proxies of Fulani while the British are there on top of value chain cannot stand in the contemporary world. Wike have the inalienable right to be Nigerian(volenti non fit injuria). However, he cannot deprive others too of the inalienable right to self-determination. Abiye, Dafur, and Southern Kodorofan did not go with Southern Sudan and it did not stop their right to self-determination. We know why people like Wike, Aniko Briggs want Nigeria. It is simply because they want to be hiding behind Fulanis military to dominate the Igbos who were dashed to them by Maman Nasir and Gowon through gerrymandering, by using state apparatus and patronage in the absence of productive economy to stifle their voices, and join with outsiders to exploits their resources and treat them like slaves. No it cannot happen. As what is good for Ikwere, Ijaw, Wike, Anniko Briggs should also be good for Egbema, Ukwa, Obigbo, Ndoni, and others. They must determine their own identity and not imposed identities and we will respect that just the same way we respect others. That is the beauty of self-determination as opposed to Wike, Ikwere, Fulani, Ijaw alien determination which is in violation of human rights. The participatory mechanism of a referendum is the key to determine not words like "I believe in the unity of Nigeria" as if some people did not believe in the unity of Yugoslavia, UK and India before Kosovo, Scotland, Pakistan. Wike is a lawyer abi? What is the cut-off mark of "Rivers people"? No wonder he choose Hitler and Bantustan leaders in apartheid South Africa as role models.
