I had Naija food for Breakfast this morning....Amala with some igbo delicacy called Ofe bitter leaf with plenty dry fish,goatmeat,snail,cowleg and stuff...it was a little overwhelming having so much to deal with in the soup bos its been really long but i enjoyed it well and wont be trying it again any time soon....

The pepper?my nose is still hot!!!

THE WOES OF INDEBTEDNESS.


A young man had gone to a business outlet to buy a phone, getting there he met the guys at the Easy buy section. They had some discussion and arrangements on the initial payment and the installments payment of three months was mapped out. His ATM details were required. On entering his details and BVN, came a word displayed in red 'FRAUD'. Consequently, his purchase was declined.

What really happened?

From the details gotten, it wasn't just fraud alone written but a brief notice on his debt to repay an online loan he took, which had elapsed and he is yet to pay back, making money unavailable in his account as not to be withdrawn by the loan company. On account of this, his accounts linked to that BVN had been blacklisted as a fraudster. Until he pays that money, whatever he does with his account or BVN, will always give him out as a fraud.

One question I always ask is, why do people find it difficult to repay their loans? There is this saying that a loan comes with a spell that makes a debtor unable to meet up the repayment plan, thereby making them lose properties used as collateral. How true is this?

Again, one thing I've seen people do in the face of loan indebtedness, is borrowing to service a loan. This is liken to a man who digs a hole to cover a hole, invariably leaving the latter open. So wrong and discouraging.

I want to ask, is it that people are too greedy to pay back or the loan comes with its own trouble on them? How does one effectively repay a loan without being under pressure? If a loan is usually difficult to pay back, why do people still opt for it? 

You will never know how peaceful or stress free life could be until you are in debt. Its embarrassment is better imagined than described.

*Hahahahahahahahahahahah I remember back then In UNIBEN when i was owing igbese,on the last day of school as i prepared to go home to Lagos,I smelled the perfume of the lady i was owing and i hid behind the locked door...she knocked and knocked and knocked,i forze where i was...

She kept shouting ''Stella,i know you are there oh!''...When i did not respond,she left.....

Before then i could no longer sleep cos she always tried to catch me sleeping so i resorted to hanging out in reading rooms..lol

Abies now works in a bank and every time we remember this incident,the laughter is something else.....
