    1. Learnt that the girl sitting on the lion statue lost her brother to SARS brutality when he came into the country briefly. Same with the DJ in yellow underwear. He lost his twin. These are just sad sights to behold.

  3. So heartbreaking.
I can see the feeling of the protest....despite the rain we are out. Buhari has been a bad boy.

  4. Good evening everyone. The honest truth is that people have been pushed to the edge. They've been frustrated, angry and burnt for far too long. And there isn't one leader or group to speak to... it's decentralized, organic and spread out. Thousands of angry young people, united only in their pain and disappointment in their country. And they're also extremely suspicious. Any attempt at trying to "be their leader", or to "speak for them" is met with swift rebellion and intense dragging... even for those who are on their side. They just want to see the country change. They want to see their Govt do more than talk. They want talk-and-do. They want action. Swift, decisive, progressive action. They're not interested in conversations, press reports and announcements. My advice? For anyone who wants to help... stop focusing on the Protests. Focus on the Government and get them to ACT. Get some killer/corrupt cops prosecuted and charged - start with the ones who killed Jimoh in Ogbomosho, Kolade Johnson in Lagos and more. And do it publicly and transparently. Put THAT on TV. Get a list of all the Protesters who were assaulted, falsely accused and framed by Police during the last few days of protests. Apologize to them for infringing on their rights, and compensate them. Focus on getting Govt to set up a compensation fund for families of the people who have been murdered by the Police. And amplify THAT online and in the press. Fire some high level officers who could have stopped all this from happening but let killers and extortionists run wild on their watch. Young people are not stupid. SARS yesterday is SWAT today and Anti-Cultism-Squad next week. Set up that independent reform panel and immediately begin investigating police misconduct. Set up a hotline for people to report abuse. Put a timeline in place to review the salaries of average policemen. Isn't it ironic that the young people are ADVOCATING for better pay for the same Police officers that are assaulting them?

Instead of trying to talk your young people down, actually take a moment to LISTEN to them for once, please. Review their #5for5 list, take stock of all they're asking for and be honest - they're not unreasonable demands, are they? Help get them done and take it even further than that.

Every body is looking to sit down with the protesters but I think that's the wrong approach. The protesters are not the problem. The Police is. The leadership is. The Government is. The people don't want any closed door meetings. They want integrity, honesty and action. So if you want to sit down with anyone, please, sit down with the Government. Sit down with our leaders. Get THEM to act. And make sure we can all see the actions. Then perhaps the mood will change. Young Nigerians have been pushed to their limits, and they're now reminding the people in power that power belongs to the people. We are in uncharted territory as a country, but our prayer at the end of the day is that Nigeria will be better off for it.

A wise man once said "there's nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come". Tick tock, Nigeria.

  11. Very happy that 2020 is going end as a year Nigeria youths are waking up to the decay of this country. Leaving leadership in hands of these old clueless thieves who only care about their pocket.

  12. The lady on the lion really melted my heart and her story of her brother(who was returning from abroad) that was killed by SARS broke my heart.

There was a video of a young boy who was carrying the Nigerian flag and a flag against SARS too. I think he had back pack too. That photo/video is really moving too.

That nursing mother with her baby, to me, is child cruelty

    1. How is that pic of a mom with her baby child cruelty when the future of that same child is at stake because of the same police brutality❓❗

A lot of people have been directly and indirectly affected by police brutality.

You need to see beyond the ordinary and think outside the box. Read the mood of the nation! 🀦‍♀️

  14. The corruption in Nigeria is scary. Governor Obiano please look into the police officers at Divisional police station 3-3 Onitsha and the army at Onitsha military cantonment Borromeo Round About as they are very corrupt. How can the police charge an innocent person 50k just to write a police report and 40k to submit the report? Evil people. They think money grow on trees.

    1. Onitsha own is the worst and yet arm robbers still full everywhere .What they only know how to do is to arrest fresh guys in the name of Yahoo Yahoo just bcos of what they can gain from them.Eno go beta for them

  15. Right here in Abuja, there are thugs probably paid by some people attacking the protesters. They came out in numbers with sticks and matchets attacking protesters and destroying vehicles even in the presence of the Nigerian Police. I can confirm that one person is dead already. But we're not giving up now.

  20. The blood of all the innocent people wasted by this animals in uniform will seek vengeance from them and unfortunately from their children who may not know the kind of seed their parents have sown. RIP to all the dead, may God console their families.
Govt needs to get this right, These SARS guys, when you see them they are not different from armed robbers. No official vehicles, no uniform e.t.c and they just harrass and molest innocent unarmed citizens. When they see the real robbers they take off.

  23. What I have seen SARS do in my area in Port Harcourt, I can't start explaining. There was a period, they were stealing money and vehicles, as well as kidnapping innocent folks.
I don't even want to go to the extra-judicial killings. Or is it the time, they were intimidating bus and taxi drivers forcing them to give them money.
If you have never had a first hand experience with this SARS guys, please don't even get involved.
How about the day my neighbours and I were coming back from church in the evening. They arrested the three boys with us (2 girls) and they let asked us to go. When we protested they landed my friend a thunderous slap and pus fell out of her ears. Till date, she is deaf in that ear.
They forced the boys to write a statement that they found them with guns instead of the bibles they were holding. Those guys suffered no be small. There families even suffered more.
