  20. While I lived abroad, I was washing my butt with soap after using the toilet. Ignorance! I suffered. The pain was unbearable. I sweated under sub zero temperatures. I could not sleep for months. No one knew what was the problem. I could not stand, or lay in bed. My best position was to coil up like a foetus, sweat and waited for time to pass. I would be in bed and be counting hours till morning. I went to military hospital yet nothing. I was inserting big tablets in my anus, no way. In a week, I was averaging 5 hours of sleep, yes 5 hours a week. I would enter public transport say -6'c, I will be sweating. People will be buttoned up against cold and I will leave light jacket open drawing stares. Some thought I was showing off without knowing the kind of heat in my body could bake bread. To ease the pain was to put hand in the butt and be massaging it. One can not be in the public and be putting hand in the butt. Any slight opportunity, I will look around, put hand backside. I will be with people and will excuse them to go to a corner and be massaging the pain. I was crying and begging the pains. I will wipe my tears and come out to the public with the pains all over. I waa washing my hand mire than 100 times a day so far I was outside because I could not use dirty hands down there. It was a living hell.

I came back to Nigeria and told my dad ( I kept it from them while abroad), he recommended one capsule I bought for #140. And that was it. All the pains just left my body and I learned it was the soap I was washing my butt that caused it.

The pains I passed through were as much as child birth. I really thank God.

  21. Been in labour pains without food for 3 days with devils in nurses' uniforms. Was begging them for CS. It was later when their Chief Gynaecologist came and said CS that they took me to the theater. My joy was that I took my baby boy home with me

Anon 22:09, I think they mean the pain after being sutured and not during.

On a different note, I’ve always assumed getting an epidural during labor was common ie it’s always an option if you decide to go that route but was shocked when I observed from previous posts on this blog that it’s not the same in Nigeria so a lot of the women bear the pain of labor until delivery. Very sad.

  31. Till date, I can't stand long, carry heavy things, wear heels or walk far distance due to a bike accident I had when returning from an accident.
I fear it may increase when I add weight or get pregnant.
Once the pain starts , I run terrible fever, my legs would be hot and I have to support it with pillows or lift it on the waste bin at work.
I limp and walk on my toes till it subsides, pain relievers don't work again
Sometimes I just cry it out
Am managing it for now, I have plans to check it out soon since I couldn't return to the hospital for an Xtray

    1. That's sciatica and it's caused by disc degeneration in the spine at the lumbar/waist region.
U better go for MRI scan so as to atten fast to it before it degenerates further.
