Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has appointed BBNaija winner Laycon as the Youth Ambassador for the state and also gifted him with a house and cash.

DeleteHe is trying na, the roads they are constructing in different parts of Ogun State are still on going, let's be patient with him, he is also doing well in some other areas like agriculture, ICT and health. I believe he's going to perform better than his predecessors.
DeleteThose of you condemning the governor and saying misplaced priorities; the job of governor is not only infrastructure building. It is all encompassing. I will want the governor to be up and doing obviously; but encouraging good behaviour and good representation of the state by a citizen, especially a youth, in these days when youth don't know how to behave, is a worthy deed by any governor. Anything to redirect the youth of today towards good behaviour cannot be said to be a wrong step. Forget whether you like the giver or the recipient or not. There is a big problem with the youth demography and advocacy for good behaviour by a role model who has exhibited same is a step in the right direction. Weldone Governor Biodun. and big congrats Laycon. Obviously a well trained young man. Even his body language throughout is one of humility and respect. I salute his parents.

What if he did not give him the money, land and appointment and give them to his own family members, would you have known what he's doing with the state's money? What if he gives it to an undeserving slay queen who has nothing upstairs but whose only job is to slay on Instagram? Laycon represents a hardworking youth who has a good head on his shoulders. He is a good ambassador to the youths because he performed well in his academics, has been doing one thing or the other to make money and be better for himself. By the way the governor has the right to reward/appoint who he wants to reward as long as that person is not a criminal, that's the governor's prerogative. He appointed an Ogun state citizen to a position in Ogun state that he feels the person fits in, so why the fuss? I don't watch BBN but from Stella's blog and the comments I think I'm an Ozo fan but I don't think the governor rewarding a Nigerian citizen who has not done anything bad but good behavior, exhibited talent and academic excellence is bad!

Ogun state roads are very very very terrible. He has not done any tangible thing since he was elected last year. Was this 5million budgeted for?How does this affect the life of the people?Is this why he was elected???? Nigerian politicians are clowns. I love Laycon but it doesn't deter me from saying the truth.

Is Ota/abeokuta environs? Or mowe/ibafo, or even Remo zone (where the governor is from). Yeye dey smell.
You can appeal to the governor to fix the roads, the 5 million he gave to Laycon will not build that road, the appointment he gave to the young man will not build those roads. If he wants to build road he will, rewarding Laycon will not stop him. People should stop this witch hunting please it won't take us any where.

ReplyDeleteBut i still get my reserve here,I think laycon has gotten the winning price and house already from bbn,why not give out this house and the cash gifts to those that needs this more because I'm sure we have some poor youths still in ogun state that finds it hard to eat 3square meals a day or even have a shelter,then make him the ambassador for the youths cos truly he is a mentor for some for being so calm and focus in the face of provocations during the bbn game.

DeleteI have nothing against Laycon but the truth is that: their are so many people who cannot afford the basic needs of life because those they voted into power have failed and is still failing them... Laycon shouldn't be Ogun's state priority at this point, especially as he is not doing bad right now. They can channel this same energy into making the State a better place of abode.

better person to appoint as a youth ambassador of
Ogun state at the moment than Laycon.
Laycon's response to Erica the night she cursed and
threatened to kill him is a strong message to ALL.
A lot of youths would have gone all out to beat her

Plus this guy's life is highly symbolic. Not everyone
on dreadlocks is dum.b upstairs. Some people are
