  2. AN HONEST QUESTION

‘How long will you hide your face from me?’
    Psalm 13:1 NIV

When Kelly James and two climbing buddies died on Oregon’s Mount Hood in the USA, his brother Frank, a professor of theology, admitted: ‘It’s one thing to talk about death in the abstract. It’s another to cope with the death of someone you love…Death is ugly. We can’t – and shouldn’t – try to make it palatable with pious platitudes…One question haunts me, “Where was God when Kelly was freezing to death?” For me not to ask would be a failure to take God seriously…I’m not suggesting mere mortals stand in judgment of God…God doesn’t report to me. But an honest question from a broken heart is a good and righteous thing.’ David wasn’t afraid to ask God, ‘How long will you hide your face?’ Then a few verses later the same distressed David declares, ‘But I trust in your unfailing love’ (Psalm 13:5 NIV). Frank James continues: ‘Amid all the spiritual consternation God manifested Himself in my grief. Somehow He’s found in the disappointment, confusion, and raw emotions. This doesn’t exactly make sense to me, and I don’t like it. But my concept of faith has become Abrahamic…I must trust God even when I don’t understand…as Christians have confessed for centuries, “We look for the resurrection of the dead” (see 1 Corinthians 15:42)…Amid enough tears to fill an ocean…we’ve had to bury loved ones. But we bury them with this promise, “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22 NIV). It doesn’t indemnify us against grief…It does, however, take faith to depths where hope begins to poke through the heartache, like a sunbeam piercing a cloudy sky.’

Btw, do people still say 'thank you ma' after eating? My kids don't say it. I remember growing up saying it every time we eat. Even when I graduated and lived with a relative during my service year, i said it till I rented my apartment and left. All their kids, some were older than me, they were all saying it😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

I removed shame frm my family when we went for my dad's burial 2016 July by changing d leaking roof of our house in the village
cos it was rainy season and dat Alone changed the entire look of the house.i still brought my own share of d burial expenses.infact spent close to 1m frm wen my dad was hospitalized May 2016 though we still lost him 5days later. I was happy doing all dis.

So I find it somehow wen pple say dey can't save for rainy day.i still look good despite all dis and I dnt break d bank doing dat.i find wat fits me well cos I attract good well to do men.The kind of open doors dis brought me ,hmmm.

  6. I opened a social media platform early this morning and scrolled down. I kept seeing a particular name- Erica. For one reason or the other, I wasn't patient enough to see what the name was all about. The name appeared continuously on most of the news pages. I had to pause to know what it was all about. I cringed. It was so heartbreaking. You mean with the effect of the fuel and electricity tariff increase, MOST Nigerians were discussing Big Brother! Dear Lord. Do you know what the increase has already translated to? The price of everything has increased. Everybody is witnessing this increase. Instead of us to keep the social awareness at its premium this period and put immense pressure on this inept and provincial government, we're all discussing Erica! Erica! Nigeria as it is has gone to the doldrums. This country is presently at a very fucked up situation. You'll hardly travel from point A to B without encountering one of the twin evils of armed robbers or kidnappers. Right here in the city of Abuja people get kidnapped every time. Aboki boys that escaped from wherever it is are everywhere stabbing people and taking their belongings.
In a depressing period like this where America is planning another 2 trillion dollars stimulus for its citizens to cushion the effects of the pandemic, the awkward clown we have here has been increasing the price of everything and stepping up taxes, while we all watch him.
Funny thing is that the money raised will be stolen right before us. Do you know how much this evil government has borrowed and is borrowing? Who do you think will pay? You and I. They're borrowing away your future. You think what you write doesn't matter? It does. If we all raise hell even in social media, they will budge. Please and please let's forget inanities and focus on what's important. Nigeria is gradually becoming another Afghanistan.

Check your lifestyle, are you the type that join workplace competition in terms of dress, jewrely, food and other items?please stop it! it's so common among females trying to match other female colleague bag, shoe and dress, just be you.
Analyse your spending henceforth to know what you actually spend on, probably tfare is taking the largest portion of your take home. if possible go to work with your food to limit buying from eateries.

  8. Quit telling yourself, “I can’t do this. It’s too early; it’s too hard. I’ve had too many setbacks.” You can do what you want to do. Don’t miss your destiny because you didn’t want it bad enough. What God put in you is worth fighting for. It’s worth being uncomfortable; it’s worth having to stretch, to get up early, to try again, to do what others aren’t willing to do. Joel osteen.

  11. Rhapsody Today!!

The Rapture Is Closer Than Ever!!
    1 Thessalonians 4:17.

    Excerpts!!

"At the Rapture, it makes no difference where you are, the power of God will snatch you away from this world"

"When is this going to take place? It's going to be anytime soon"

"Your responsibility is to be prepared by living your life for the Lord, every day. Keep walking in love"

    Today's Confession!!

The Lord Jesus is coming for a Church without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing, and I'm ready. My faith is activated to be caught up to be with the Lord forever! And while in expectation of this glorious catching away, my life and passions are about His Kingdom and its expansion; through me, many more are being enlisted for the Rapture, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  12. Good morning Stella❤❤ (Thank you so much, I recieved it), blog Angels😘😘. Gooooooood morning my darlings😘😘😘😘😘❤❤. I'm sooo thankful to be alive. This thing called life is truly a gift. When we wake up, we should be grateful to God. Late Thursday night/early Friday morning will be a night I'll never forget. Been a while I had an attack, I think it's over 4years, but I never go anywhere without my inhaler. I do all I can to avoid anything that'll trigger it, but on Wednesday, I inhaled this strong incense, noticed I started wheezing on Thursday. Took my drugs, never knew I was going to have an attack much later. Sometimes we tend to take breathing as something simple, but when you struggle to take a breath, it's not funny. For some reasons, my inhaler didn't work as fast as I wanted it to. Thank God I had someone around me. I'm just grateful and thankful to be alive. My chest still feels a bit tight, but I'm ALIVE💃💃. Paris darling, Phoenix darling, and Blacky dearie, thanks for the concern. I love you guys😘😘😘. XP darling, Don Nkay, Chigirl, and Chikabella, thanks for the🗣🗣😘😘😘. 16. Good morning people

It is no longer news that electricity tariff was hike by between 50% and 100% depending on the location.

It was reported that the new tariff is also a function of hours of availability of electricity 😃.

The first step is to identify the biggest energy consuming appliances in your home. A typical home gives the following consumption pattern:

    1. Air Conditioning and Heating- 46%
    2. Water Heating- 14%
    3. Applicances(Fridge, Washing Machine etc) -13%
    4. Lighting: 9%
    3. Appliances -13%

If you can also invest in renewable energy, Solar is a good one, we have good sunshine and this can be converted to energy. Cost? Yes the initial cost, but in the long run, it is a great investment. Get off the grid periodically and save yourself some money.

Anyway, let us share some tips on how and ways you can save energy and pay less bill.

    1. Use daylight ☀️☀️as much as possible. Energy saved in the daytime can be used at night.

    2. Use fan instead of Air Conditioners where possible 😉

    3. Switch off your Air Conditioners when leaving the room...at least for 15mins. Yes, switch it off . I will even suggest you set your Air Conditioners mode to Auto and set to room temperature.

    4. Each LED Bulb you installed can save a lot of money over its lifetime. Always switch off light when not in use.

    5. Switch off Fridge/Freezer when empty 🤷‍♂️

    6. Do not put hot or warm food straight into the Fridge/Freezer.

    7. Use Electric Kettle to Boil Water instead of Electric Cooker. E get why o 😉

    8. Iron clothing in bulk and not in small quantities at a time.

    9. Do not leave water heater on for too long. Make sure your water heater has a good thermostat.

    10. It is cheaper to cook with natural gas than electric cooker.

    11. Use heating appliances with functional thermostats. You know why? To regulate the appliances.

    12. Keep doors and windows shut when Air Conditioners are in operation.

    13. Defrost your freezer regularly to keep it running efficiently.

    14. Unplug any devices or appliances not in use at any point.

The list is inexhaustible. However, discipline is key. You must set a measurable rules in your home and volators must be sanctioned 😀

By the way I got some of these tips from NERC website.

    All the best!

    1. Thanks for sharing. I doubt this calculation works in Nigeria,NEPA or whatever they're called use head to dole out tariff, the idea they used in my area is so funny, they started labelling each house alphabetically not knowing it was meant for charges,if your house fall under A,your pay is higher than that of B,they didn't enter the buildings to consider the appliances, the number of rooms and how good the house looks was their metric.
      May God help Nigeria.

I still remember the picture you both took in one SDK Lagos party which you denied but the truth came out the day you posted your wedding picture on IHN 😂😁😁😁

Even if you don't have these things, God will give them to you very soon. Don't loose faith. Have a blessed day🙏🏾

    Good morning my people
God has been too faithful and I can't explain his goodness.

Yesterday, we learnt about the Abundance of the Heart
We may shield ourselves under the guise of Blog character, Its just me, I am me, i didnt mean it etc and so many excuses.
But deep down, it still comes from within you, your heart to your lips.
This week, we were given the task not to think any evil, curse or say what we don't mean.
And I pray God helps me to scale through and expose my heart to light.

    Have a beautiful day !/

I have a testimony, just when I thought all odds were against me, lord showed himself, I started learning tailoring not quite long, and I put all my energy into it, cos I was very determined this time around, but I couldn't practise at home cos I don't have a machine, everyone else does, I was already trying to save for one, but on Saturday, my boss called me and gave me one machine, though not new but by the time I spend l8me 6 to 7k on it, it will be OK. I'm so happy ehn, repairing it today chap chap .
