This was the outcome of its communique issued by the Central Working Committee of the Nigeria Labour Congress held in Abuja on Wednesday.
The NANNM expressed these decisions in the directive signed by its General Secretary, T.A. Shettima, issued to its State chairmen and Secretaries and sent to journalists in Abuja on Thursday.
The document reads, “I write to forward herewith the communique issued at the end of the Central Working Committee of the NLC held on September 16 2020.
“In summary, the meeting discussed the unprecedented hike in the cost of Petroleum Motor Spirit (and) the outrageous increase in electricity tariffs.
“The meeting resolved to issue a 14 days ultimatum to the Federal Government within which to reverse the increases or face an indefinite strike.
“You are by this letter directed to start mobilisation and sensitisation of our members. We shall keep you posted on any further development in this regard.”

Dear Lord, please help this country.
ReplyDeleteI pity pregnant women about to deliver the strike period
See talk
ReplyDeleteGood
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm, It is well.
ReplyDeleteBut the hike in pump price is just outrageous even though i support the idea of removing subsidy
ReplyDeleteThe subsidy is a big SCAM, even buhari himself said it during his campaign prior to 2015 elections. One now wonder why same man/govt is doing d same thing they crusified gej for in 2013 (or so). Bloody hypocrites! Let Nigerians know that there's still subsidy. If subsidy is to be finally removed and totally too, Nigerians will be buying fuel at above #200/litre. So, d only sane thing to do is fix our refinenaries, no other short cut. Apc knows this but they won't. Like every other previous govt, they take delight in making the masses suffer. How can they increase everytin when we're just coming out of lockdown in a country d govt gave no pillatives, these people are damn demonic. No1 believes in the NLC or whatever again. Not to talk of these mid-wives. It's well with Naija! There was once a country indeed!
DeleteThe ultimatum will not work. This APC government is an evil regime. The devil is even learning from them. Nothing moves them even the cry of a 5 year old whose parents were murdered. If it's possible to tax the air we breathe, they would.
ReplyDelete#1000 fuel gives you 6.25 litres, that is if the meter was not tampered with or the fuel mixed to maximize profit by the the station owner or manager.
To all that supported and still supports this evil government that does not value human life and the sight of us still breathing pains them, I say enjoy and endure it.
How a known and confirmed wicked man was foisted on us, we cried and you gave him pass. Be proud of your cattle loving Oga.
By the way is he the original bubu? What do I know sef.
You really said a lot.
DeleteI also doubt if he is truely buhari.
This people are heartless.I heard they still want to increase fuel price.zero conscience and Nigerians are not even helping matter.
What is NLC,TUC doing about the fuel price hike? It is now nurses and midwives fighting. I pray for the sick, the pregnant and the ones that need one medical attention or the other that God should intervene.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteWhere is Eesah?
ReplyDeleteI need to show him something
